Homecoming

Planet: Kashyyyk
Location: Destroyed village

It had been a few weeks since he had returned to Kashyyyk, for he found it almost unbearable to do so. However, thanks to an enlightening experience, the young Jedi had found the courage to travel back to his home planet. The horrifying images of death and fire constantly flashed in and out of the youth's mind, as he piloted his Aleph super fighter through the dark void. It had just dropped out of hyperspace, allowing the Jedi to gaze upon the planet through his view-port.

His Sith designed fighter would begin to descend through the atmosphere, it's hull shaking slightly as it continued to towards the plentiful jungle and grasslands. Upping the speed of his craft, Tugoro would lean back as the sensation of butterflies in his stomach took over. The Aleph would screech loudly as it swooped over the surface, it's Imperial-esque design causing it to sound rather iconic. The ship would touch down upon a grassy plain, it's landing gears extending to hold it's immense weight. The familiar scent of ash wafted through the air. The hatch that led to the cockpit would open slowly, as Tugoro reached up and pushed against it.

After a few moments, the fighter had been shut down, and the young Jedi had climbed from it's interior, onto the hull. Turning his neck slightly, the youth would gaze upon the horrendously burnt village, examining the trees that had toppled over into the large collection of soot. The young boy would remain motionless for a time, simply gazing upon the destroyed village. Tugoro's mind would close off to the world around him as he became lost in his thoughts. If anyone had noticed his arrival and planned to sneak up on him, it would be all too easy.

Katar had been to Kashyyyk many times before. First as a young child slave who fell in love with the creatures she encountered. Later, as a freed young woman revisiting the life she'd missed for so long. As she slowly walked through the Shadowlands, she was surprised to see a clearing a few feet in front of her. There was a ring of grass encompassing a large area of ash and charred ruins. Curiosity overcame her, so she decided to investigate. She sniffed the air around her and reached out with her perceptions. This place felt scarred. Something horrible must've happened here. She bent down a took some of the ashes in her hand. It was at this moment that she noticed a boy sitting on a ship on the other side of the clearing. Her bright green cat eyes stared at him.

[member="Katar"]'s bright green eyes would be met with Tugoro's own emerald ones. The burnt Wookiee village would cast a blanket of darkness across the lush surface of the shadowlands, managing to stick out like a sore thumb. He was not surprised that someone had noticed the area, though what did surprise him was that this person seemed to be human. Taking a step into the air, Tugoro would hop down from Sith designed ship, his boots slamming down onto the green grass. Lifting a single arm, the young Padawan would offer the individual a greeting, by waving his upper limb back and forth. He wandered if they had already noticed him.

The youth's leather boots would begin to trudge through the thick ash, accidentally kicking a few skeletal remains here and there. It was disturbing and horrifying, though even so the Jedi continued to approach Katar, despite not knowing what to expect.

Katar blinked a few times as the boy waved at her and began to approach her. How odd that he would greet her this way. Like she was an old friend instead of a complete stranger. It baffled her, and only made her curiosity grow. She too began heading in his direction, her footsteps light and soundless on the cinders below her.

Tugoro hadn't been nervous to approach [member="Katar"], not one bit. That was due to the fact that he couldn't actually see her from the large distance. However, as it was closed between them, the youth's eyes would widen in surprise for he had never seen such a creature as herself on Kashyyyk. He had explored much of the planet, and encountered many beasts, even Terentateks. Holdings his arms up in a none hostile fashion, the boy would begin to observe the older female, not sure if she was sentient or not. There had been no words spoken, even though she looked rather human.

Seeing as he wore a simple leather flight jacket, the numerous saber hilts around his waist would be visible. They remained untouched however, for the Jedi had no intentions of conflict. Even so, he was unsure as to where this meeting would go. "Hello." He spoke softly, in a rather bland and quick tone. He did not enjoy speaking galactic basic, and doubted it would be useful in this situation. After his greeting, the Padawan pondered why he had even spoke it. There was probably a better chance of Katar understanding his shyriiwook anyway.

Katar watched the boy study her lightly clothed body, fully aware that her branding-covered torso was almost completely visible save the fabric that covered her chest. She always liked to dress comfortably in her favorite places. When he held out his hand, she looked down at it, and then back up at him. He had a slight sort of accent that she'd never heard before when he said hello. Curious. She then greeted him in her own way by coming in a bit closer and sniffing him. She could know a person better by taking in their scent.

The youth's face could not help but flush slightly, as [member="Katar"] approached and sniffed him. She was almost exactly like the boy in his younger age, completely ignorant and oblivious to common social norms. He had always wondered if there were others like him, and was not surprised to find out that the answer was yes. The young Jedi would smell of star craft interior and fruit, for he usually ate in his ship. Grasping his chin while thinking, Tugoro would debate on the many approaches he could take to this situation. Shrugging lightly the Padawan figured he might as well attempt shryiiwook, for he really did not know what this female understood. His high pitched voice would begin to growl and such, sounding rather silly, though reminiscent of the Wookiees language. Roughly translated, he hoped to query her as to why she was here.

Katar's bright green cat eyes widened as the boy began speaking Shryiiwook. She understood what he was saying. He wanted to know why she was here. She didn't really have a reason, other than she liked visiting the planet. So, she merely shrugged. Then she pointed at him with a questioning expression. She was asking him the same question.

Tugoro was truly surprised. He had never expected to encounter another humanoid being that also understood shryiiwook. Laughing quietly at the strange coincidence, the young Jedi would turn his sight to the sky briefly, feeling slightly nervous in [member="Katar"]'s presence. The youth's optics would slink towards the edge of their vision, looking towards the genetically mutated human who was now pointing at him. Even though she had not spoken at all, Tugoro still could comprehend what she desired to know, through a strange understanding in the force. Opening his mouth once more, the Jedi would continue to speak to the female, explaining that he had grown up among the Wookiees.

His gaze would flicker to the destroyed village, it's black ashes blanketing the area's surface in darkness. It was not something he wanted to address, though would discover if asked about. Instead, the boy would sense Katar's force sensitivity with his own mind, having been able to develop his sensing abilities in the recent past. She wasn't weak at all, he could tell that the female had a connection with the nature around her. Had she ever been taught before? Perhaps she could become a Jedi. Tugoro would begin to draw attention to her force sensitivity, mentioning her presence while still speaking in his silly sounding shryiiwook.

Katar nodded when the boy spoke of her Force Sensitivity. She knew very well that it was there. She'd been training for over six months now. It was interesting that he'd been raised by wookiees. She'd never really heard of that in of thing before. She wished she could've been that lucky. To tell him where she'd been raised, Katar lifted her bare arms toward him. They were covered with branded insignias, as was her entire torso. Even her neck. She didn't really have to explain what it meant.

Having brought attention to her body, Tugoro would begin to examine it, eyeing the numerous black shapes that covered [member='Katar']. The young Jedi had no clue what they were, or what they meant. Thinking back to the battle of Ossus, the Padawan would remember the patterns that many Sith adorned on their bodies. She couldn't be, could she? Reaching out with the force, Tugoro could tell that Katar was sort of...Primal, to say the least. There was a "darkness" within her, very similar to his own force aura. Rage was something that made the boy lose himself, allowing him to revert to the more instinctively violent tendencies he had adopted while among the Wookiees.

Still speaking in his garbled shryiiwook, Tugoro would question her allegiances, while pointing to his shoulder. Upon the sleeve of his brown leather flight jacket, was the Republic's insignia, most likely tipping her off to the fact that he was a Jedi. That was, if the multiple sabers around his waist hadn't already. He also made a point in asking how she got those marks.
