NETRA'YAIM

Home is where the heart is.

As the old saying went, home was not a physical location per se. Home could be in the middle of a desert, or aboard a ship, or in the vastness of space. Home could be anywhere, because it was not four walls which made it up, but the people within. In the case of House Verd, Mandalore had once been home. As the birthplace of the family and the seat of the Mandalorian culture, it was the obvious choice for such a title. Yet, the rulers of the distant world treated the Verd lineage harshly - so much so that Home was not a title it deserved. Rather, the family carved out their own niche upon Krant many years later. Netra'yaim it was called - a place that any of the family could come and rest their heads.

A place to call Home.

But, for one member of the family, the heart seemed to have moved. It no longer resided within the ornate halls of Netra'yaim, but rather in the hands of a deserving partner. The demands of her office called her away from Krant often, yes. But during those free hours, a lengthy journey was taken to be with that special someone. Even until the present, the House did not know this fine detail. And thus, out of sheer curiosity, Darth Metus had reached out to Shalita Verd Shalita Verd . He invited her to take some time away from her new role as Minister to share a meal and to catch up - at home. What he anticipated was her vessel descending and for her to arrive alone. But, the response to his message asked a question.

Could she bring someone along?

With the largest grin in the world, the Sith gave a happy yes. And as the sun set on Krant, the roar of starship engines entering the hangar could be heard. Darth Metus stood by, awaiting as the ship hissed and its ramp extended. And the moment his sulfuric gaze settled upon the porcelain features of his sibling, his face light up like it was Life Day morning. "Welcome home sister!"

And more importantly. "Who's your friend?"
