Home Sweet Home (Kixi)

[member="Kixi Rajki"]

As George awoke the Voss sun was beating down on his quarters. The window across the room let in enough light to show that it was time to get up. He rolled over, stretching his long blue arms trying to prepare himself for the day to come. As he got out of bed he realized he had a message on his holotransceiver. He opened and watched as Master of the Order Coci Heavenshield popped up on screen. "Knight George O Rourke. Sorry to wake you this morning but I have an important mission for you. There is an informant that apparently has great intel for us. I need you and your Padawan to make sail for Glee Anslem. I thought you might like this one as it is your home planet. The informant will meet you at these coordinates." A set of coordinates on the surface popped up giving George some idea on where he was off to.

As George got himself ready putting his robes over his tunic and trousers with his belt situated firmly around his waist and both lightsabers clipped on to it he was ready. Now time to get my Padawan. There was no need to reply to the holomessage as Master Coci knew all too well that he would accept and be on his way.

He quickly made his way over to the quarters of his Padawan Kixi informing her of their new mission. "Padawan, get ready we are heading out. Important mission set down from Master Coci. Only bring the necessities, its a stealth mission in and out. Let me know when you're ready." George was ready and waiting on his Padawan. He was excited by this mission as it was the first time he had returned since joining the Coalition a few years back. Since then it was taken control of by the One Sith. Must have been their plan to kill all the Jedi Master inhabiting the planet prior to the attack. But this wasn't a revenge mission much to the disappointment of George. But he still had to ensure both the safety of his Padawan and taking any Sith on would be suicide. So in and out, clean as a whistle. Thats the plan.

Kixi heard a loud knock on her door. Who the heck could it be at this time, Kixi thought to herself as she went to open the door. As she opened the door, she saw her master standing there who wasted little time in explaining the situation to her.

"Okay Master, yeah count me in for that for sure."

Well it's not like she actually had a choice about going or not, and it didn't matter because this is what she had been waiting for all along, so her answer would've been a solid yes had she had a choice anyway.

"I just need to get a few things that are onboard my starship the Ueshiba. They only happen to be a few clicks from Voss. I'll send them a quick message to rendezvous with your ship in Voss orbit. I'll be quick once it's there to get my stuff. I promise there will be no horsing around and stuff."

Her master would give her a funny look regarding that last comment. Clearly one of her reasons for wanting to make a quick stop on her ship was to see Mako Zaneca, her companion and her love. Kixi missed her a lot as was the case with Mako in relation to Kixi. However she really did need to get some things that she would need for her mission on her ship. Thus despite the temptation to want to get intimate with Mako, she would stress the urgency of her mission to Mako and the rest of the crew, get her stuff and be on her way. Although she did pause a moment. I don't think I've ever told my master that I'm in a relationship. She shrugged it off. If he wants to know more, I guess he'll ask and I'll simply tell him.

Then Kixi would gather her bare essentials that she had in her quarters such as her lightsabre, and lock up and leave with her master. Wasting no time she would contact her ship as the two walked. She would plan to change into her appropriate attire and do her hair properly once onboard her own ship.

"Master I hope this little pit stop onboard my ship is of no inconvenience to you. I really promise it will be quick, and besides you need to check your own ship's systems etc before we depart so in essence we won't be losing too much time."

Kixi made sure to point out the last part as she knew her master probably just wanted to get going as soon as possible, and Kixi clearly wanted to justify her stop as not being something that would really impact their mission as far as time constraints were concerned.

George was a tiny bit confused when Kixi said she needed to get supplies off of her ship but as she continued she made a good point about getting the systems ready for the hyper jump. "Thats fine, I am sure the contact will not just up and leave any time soon." George replied as they made their way to the ship.

They made their way into the hanger bay where George's YT-2400 sat waiting for them. The black and red paint job slightly different to your usual Jedi colours would be the perfect disguise to get into enemy space. As they entered George took his seat in the cockpit and started up the engine. Kixi had already made contact with the crew aboard her own ship and they would soon rendezvous in the atmosphere of Voss. "Get ready, we're heading up." George said as the thrusters engaged and lifted the ship out of the hanger bay. "We're coming up to the atmosphere are you ready to go across?" He asked the Padawan.

As he reached the atmosphere he scanned the ship around looking for Kixi's ship. As it popped up on the radar he quickly hailed it. "This is Knight George O Rourke with Kixi Rajki requesting to dock." He was formal although he probably didn't need to be. As he waited for a reply he looked across at Kixi watching as she prepared to board her own vessel. Thinking how she would go with this mission, if it was too early to take her out on a mission like this... One could only wait and see.

As Kixi boarded her master's ship for the first time, although just a freighter ship, she really liked what she saw.

"Nice ship Master, I like it."

Kixi half grinned at her master as they both boarded through the boarding ramp. They didn't waste too much time soon after as George took to the controls of his ship and soon after blasted off.

"Am I ready to go across Master, why I was born ready."

Kixi said in a sarcastic tone answering her master's question as her ship came to view high up in Voss' atmosphere. It was an unusual looking ship, the only known of its kind in this galaxy. It stood there in all its glory, the MXS Morihei Ueshiba, a ship that had seen its fair share of battles in its former days of where Kixi was from.

"This is your Captain speaking, please lock onto my position and get me onboard."

"Um slight problem Captain." A female voice unmistakably that of Mako answered.

"The transporters are offline due to technical issues with the___"

Kixi cut her off abruptly.

"Well that's crap!"

Kixi said with complete annoyance waiving her hands and arms in the air.

"Fine we'll just dock then. Please clear the hanger bay so we can land in it."

It didn't take long for Mako to give the all clear, and thus soon after, George would be able to land his YT-2400 in the Ueshiba's hanger bay. Kixi clearly not hiding her annoyance at the fact that her ship's transporters were not working looked at her master and spoke.

"Well on the bright side, you can prep your ship inside the hangar bay of my ship while I get my things. That's better than having to do it in space I guess. You could get some refreshments from my ship if you want while your at it too."

George was surprised to hear of Kixi's ships advanced technology. Transporters? Wicked. He thought as he looked over at the now annoyed Padawan. It was clear that she could have a short temper at times. Especially with her crew. "Thanks but I am fine, I've got all I need here, plus its not like we're going bush. Just make sure you have your rebreather, you'll need it." His last words as he set off working on his own ship preparing it whilst the Padawna got her stuff. There was something about the ship that he had just docked in. He had never seen one like it before, not that he was a master of ships or anything, but it didn't seemed to have any distinguishing marks. She was an interesting and complicated person, much like her ship. But she was nice and willing to learn. Her efforts in living the Jedi life was increasing everyday and her skill in the force was exceptional.

"Not a problem."

Kixi said quickly to her master as he said he advised her that he already had everything that he needed.

"My rebreather is here on your ship already. I took the one I had in my quarters at the temple that we used on one of my training missions not that long ago."

In saying that Kixi was quick out the exit ramp where Mako and Braj'tec awaited her. She really had to be quick and wasted no time advising that fact to her crew. Although of course she still found the time to hug Mako tightly as the two kissed each other on the lips. Braj'tec the head of security on the ship had wanted to inspect George's ship, this was only a natural reaction of course.

"Braj'tec no need to inspect my Master's ship. He can be trusted as if one of us."

Braj'tec nodded in acknowledgement and then headed off, while both Mako and Kixi headed off to the Captain's quarters where Kixi would usually reside on the ship. They wouldn't be gone for long. Perhaps 30 minutes at best. In that time Kixi would've explained the situation to Mako, who would then explain it to the rest of the crew.

Kixi would then make her way back to the YT-2400 with Mako walking beside her holding her hand. In the brief time she had been gone, she had changed into long black pants wearing long black boots that went over the lower parts of her pants. She wore a sleeveless white shirt on her upper body with a black and grey vest that was tightened around her with a thin belt on her upper waist. Her blonde hair had been done too. In her usual short bob and full fringe at the front. On her back she carried what would clearly appear as some sort of bladed weapon. A sword, or katana to be precise. In her other hand she carried a medium sized bag. In it she had brought some extra gizmos for the just in case.

Both Kixi and Mako then stopped short of the YT-2400's entry ramp. The two would hug and kiss again as Kixi put some small device in Mako's hand before Kixi would board her master's ship. Her master had quietly observed the two and Kixi knew that would be the natural case. Kixi quickly spoke something to Mako, but not in Züncålidiom which was the standard language used aboard her ship by her personnel and Kixi's native tongue. Instead she spoke in another known as Teryezik, Mako's distinct native tongue and that used commonly in the Outer World Colonies of the Sajnen Confederate, in which was where Mako was from. Mako slightly nodded her head in acknowledgement to what Kixi had told her as Kixi then proceeded up the freighter's on ramp. Clearly whatever she had told to Mako, she didn't want anyone to understand.

"Master [member="George O Rourke"], I'm ready and have all I need. We can leave anytime you wish or when you are ready yourself. Just notify my ship's bridge when you do so of course."

Kixi finished off by smiling at her master.

Whilst Kixi was over on her ship George took the time to ensure his ship was ready for the journey seeing it was quite a few days in hyper. As Kixi made her way back to the ship she dawned her black pants with black boots. She had done her hair and also changed her top attaching the belt around her waist with her lightsaber hanging beside it. "Alright then Kixi, we're off." George replied as he swivelled around facing the controls of the cockpit before hailing Kixi's ship. "Disengage when ready. I'll bring Kixi back soon." He spoke with a laugh.

Kixi's ship disengaged from George's allowing him to move around and prepare the hyper space coordinates. "Hold on." He said as he engaged the hyperdrive. The tear in space was truly magnificent. A wonderful sight, although it would get boring quickly. "So Kixi, we have a couple of days in hyper before we get to Glee. Anything you want to know before we get there? Any questions?" He wanted to prepare his Padawan for what was to come. They were about to enter the enemies territory and from then on danger would be on their mind. Coming into the situation full of knowledge of their surroundings and their enemy is the best course for survival. George still didn't know what the mission was, other than speak to the informant that was on Glee.

As George exited the Ueshiba's hangar bay, Kixi sat next to her master in the co-pilot's chair. She didn't really utter a word from the moment she had boarded, to the time they had made the jump to hyperspace. No doubt she was upset, at having to leave Mako again. Of course this had now been a common occurance due to her ongoing Jedi training on Voss, yet it didn't mean it ever got any easier. In-fact it only ever got worse. Kixi just starred at the view of the blurred star lines of hyperspace, while George fiddled with the ship's control. Finally [member="George O Rourke"] broke the silence by asking her if she wanted to know anything before they go to Glee which would still be a couple of days hyperspace travel away.

"Umm what?"

Kixi said all bamboozled, snapping out of her momentary lapse of concentration.

"Oh yes, sorry about me drifting off. Just have other things on my mind. Umm I'm so very sorry Master."

Kixi was quick to appologise. She didn't really want to trouble her master with her own personal feelings at this time and knew that she really needed to mentally prepare herself for the upcoming mission.

"Yeah I just want to know what our prime objective for this mission is Master?"

Kixi clearly decided to ask the most obvious question, yet her mind and thoughts were still on Mako, which at that point of time, she simply was not able to shake off.

[member="Kixi Rajki"]

As George entered hyperspace awaiting a response from his Padawan he didn't get any. As he looked over at her she was clearly somewhere else. He gave her a small nudge as she realized what she had missed. She replied asking the obvious question, what is the primary objective. "Our mission is to make contact with the informant. He apparently has information that could help the Coalition. After we find out what it is we can make another plan from there."

Still looking at the troubled Padawan. "Is everything alright Kixi, you've been distant. What is on your mind?" The Jedi Knight could see the pain in her eyes and could feel the sadness radiating from her. But he need her to clear the air, get it out of her mind into the world before she would be able to set her mind on the task at hand.

Kixi acknowledged her master regarding the informant first.

"Doesn't sound too difficult, apart from the sneaking into the enemy lines part, but I take it that you have all that covered by the fact that you've done this before. Right?"

Kixi was betting that her master hadn't done this before but wouldn't be worried one bit about it.

"Oh, if you're about to tell me that this is your first time, don't worry, I've got some experience in stealth missions and espionage up my sleeve already. So hopefully we just find this informant that you seek without too many dramas."

Kixi half smiled at her master knowing all too well that they'll probably end up encountering some resistance along the way. Given she expected it, it would be of no surprise to her if it ended up being the case, and would be a bonus if all went hunky-dory.

"I will be okay."

Kixi replied in response to her master's final question of concern. It was inevitable that he would ask it as she had made no effort to hide her feelings.

"I get this way every time I see Mako and then have to leave her. Although this is nothing new. I get over it quickly Master. You have my assurances there."

Although what Kixi had just told her master was clearly the obvious concern that she had had, there was another on her mind, also regarding Mako. She had concerns for her safety, as there was another crew member of her's on her ship that didn't get along at all with Mako. This particular person, female as well was an extremely dangerous individual if one got on her wrong side.

Kixi had assigned Braj'tec, her head of security and the one who had been her right hand warrior in the days where she had been the First Prime of Sunrider the extra task to constantly watch over Mako. She had no doubts that he would. However she had her own concerns. If Kes hurts Mako in anyway, I'll murder her without mercy. Those words kept pounding at her head every time she would think of this. The whole possibility concerned her. The Dark Side. She didn't want to go there. She had been there before, at least she had felt she had in what appeared to be vivid memories of events that had happened, but never did as far as she could really remember. Yet she understood one thing for sure, she didn't want to walk the path of the Dark Side. She had to be strong. This mission she would be undertaking would be a test of that no doubt.

Kixi asked if this was George's first mission behind enemy lines. It was. He had experience with many different battles and missions but not so much this one. He believed that if Master Coci did not believe he could do it she wouldn't have sent him on this mission. "This type of missions, it is my first." He replied with a bit of a smug smile. He saw that Kixi wasn't too bothered by it as she replied saying she had experience in this field of work. Well at least one of us know what were're doing. He thought as she continued to talk about how she was feeling.

"It is understandable to be upset leaving a loved one. But if you make sure to put 100% into your mission you'll come out and see her again." George tried to show her the bright side, whilst getting her back on track for the mission. Although he wasn't convinced with his own words at this stage.

"Thank you for your kind comforting words Master, you are always kind to me. Even though I don't always deserve it, I highly appreciate it."

Kixi would say those words to her master chucking a little. She then got up from the co-pilot's seat.

"If it's okay Master, if I'm not needed here that is, I'm just gonna go out back for a little. To get my stuff ready and meditate a little too."

Kixi would wait for her master to acknowledge her first before then going out back and meditating. She really needed to get her thoughts together and be fully focused on the mission at hand. It was going to be dangerous behind enemy lines and neither her nor her master could afford any slip ups of any sort. Once she was done meditating, she would then organise her things she had brought with her for the mission, even though they had only just begun their 2 day hyperspace mission and for that part, she would have plenty of time.

"You're welcome Padawan, doesn't matter what you think you deserve. One can't be left upset." He replied as he looked at the screens ensuring he was on track.

As his Padawan requested leave from the cockpit to get herself ready George could see no reason to stop that. "Yeah sure thats fine. Relax a little its a long trip, we'll need to keep calm for the mission to go smoothly." He responded as she stood up ready to leave.

George decided he would also rest, but in the cockpit, just in case anything were to happen. Moments after Kixi left the room George was asleep. Comfortably and lightly in case any of the alarms were to go off, or if Kixi was to return to the cockpit.

Kixi snapped out of her meditative trance. She took a glance at her chronometer. As she glanced at it, she realised that several hours had gone past. She felt good as a result. Mediation was always the best medicine for her mind and soul, especially when she was feeling down. And long mediation sessions were ever so soothing. Awesome, she thought to herself.

She took a look at her bag with all her gizmos, tools, weapons etc. I think it's time to do my own sabre practice and leave master alone for a bit. She pulled out a training drone from her bag and set it to the hardest level. Then she turned it on and it immdiately hovered directly above her. Then she retrieved her lightsabre and turned it on. Lastly she put on a blindfold and then ordered the drone to begin. Her master had taken a nap in the ship's cockpit and would soon be awoken with all the racquet Kixi was now causing. However Kixi was certain that he wouldn't be displeased as she was afterall proactively training on her own.

As George was sleeping his soul relaxing and re cooperating ready for the mission at hand. He had been sleeping for a few hours when a few large bangs echoed through the cockpit. "May..." George automatic resort was to call for a mayday. But the ship seemed to be in one piece. What in the heck is happening here? He thought as he got up from the pilots seat. He walked further down a hallway and felt more bangs as they rattled the ship.

As George turned into one of the rooms in the ship a blaster bolt came flying past his head. Immediately he stuck his head through the walkway to find out what was going on. As he looked he saw his Padawan blind folded striking blaster bolts as they came at her. "What are you doing Kixi." The stunned Jedi stood there looking at the blindfolded Padawan. George had only just got up from his sleep and his eyes were adjusting to being open again. To him it didn't look good, but the situation was far better than he had imagined.

"What's it look like I'm doing Master."

Kixi replied under her breath as she sensed the presence of her master suddenly enter the room and answered his question. The drone was shooting at her at a very rapid pace and at the same time moving around at an extremely fast pace, shifting its height, it's angle of attack and the intensity of it's attacks. Kixi looked ever so impressive as she deflected bolt after bolt.

"Kushime shix o'shiva."

Kixi yelled out to the hovering drone. What her master would then see would be a marvel in its own right. The speed in which the drone moved and fired tripled. As Kixi moved at an extremely rapid pace to match it and block the shots, she appeared like a blur to her master who watched on. It was an awesome sight that went on for a good minute at least, until Kixi slipped up that was.

"Ouch!"

She yelled as not only one bolt hit her, but several hit her torso as it had taken the drone several seconds to realise what had just happen and stop. Kixi fell backwards first, caught her balance momentarily, but then fell fowards and hit the ground with a loud thump. Unconscious she laid there, face flat on the floor and out cold to the shock, but not total surprise of her master who had just witnessed the whole scene. Kixi had tried too hard to impress her master once she realised he was watching, and although she had not failed to impress, had pushed her limits just a tad to much, and as a result, had now hurt herself badly. Undoubtedly probably not what her master would've wanted to have happen just prior to an important mission.

As George watched for a few moments as deflected blaster bolts sprayed the room George gently heard a reply from Kixi. One of well timed sarcasm. "I can see that now." He gently replied under his breath as he watched the Padawan go. She moved like a bullet deflecting everything that came her way. The droid rotating around the room like a saucer. The speed was quite intense and due to that he deflecting accuracy was decreasing. George felt one coming for him and quickly reached for his own lightsaber. As he ignited the blade and fire the bolt away from the pair of them Kixi went down.

As Kixi took a few shots to the midsection she hit the ground. It took a few moments for the droid to realize the pain she was in before shutting off. As George quickly rushed to his Padawans side he could see that she was unconscious and not in a good way. Cmon Kixi, now of all times. Ran through his head. Right before a big mission into enemy territory. She needed to be 100%. "Kixi, you there? Wake up." He said as he examined the midsection injuries. They were not as bad as he feared. Superficial burns and bruising. George placed his hands over the injuries closing his eyes and focusing on the damage that was done. They were not life threatening but he needed Kixi to be in fighting condition which she was not.

He allowed the force to flow through him and towards her wounds. Letting the powers of the force decrease the healing time of the wound. After a few moments the wounds appeared to have healed almost fully. But she had not yet awoken. George decided it would be best to get her onto a better surface so he picked her up and carried to her one of the quarters aboard the ship. He placed her on the bed seeing if the movement had done anything to wake her up. But nothing. "Alright Kixi. You'll be fine. Rest up and come see me when you are awake." He said into her eye. Knowing full well that she wasn't able to hear him. But also thought that subconsciously she heard every word.

Kixi found herself in a forest, it was kind of dark, but not fully. She felt weird, as did the voices around her that echoed all around her. Then directly ahead of her stood a young boy, around 10 years of age. He looked familiar to her. She looked straight at him as he spoke to her.

"You First Prime, you are the reason why my parents are dead. You will pay, you will pay, you will pay."

The boy's voice echoed all around her. As Kixi moved closer to the boy, the scenery suddenly changed. Kixi was standing next to the same boy, her hand on his shoulder. They were in an urban area of some kind. The forest had vanished.

"This boy, he is of no threat to us. Arrest the others but avoid any unnecessary bloodshed. There has need too much of that already."

Kixi would call out to the soldiers who were serving under her, soldiers who under her command had carried out a deadly raid on a suspected resistance fighter cell. She had known the boy was with them, but knew he would be executed if she handed him over. Deep down all the bloodshed, it was hurting her. She eyed the boy directly as she spoke.

"Go now kid! I know you were with them, but I'm not a monster. Go, get out of here while you still can."

The boy would take a step back, nod at Kixi to acknowledge her, and as Kixi turned her back on the boy to walk over to her soldiers, the boy would then stab her in the lower hip area in an attempt to kill her. As Kixi would then drop to her knees, the boy would pull out the knife, which had miraculously missed all her vital organs, turn around to face her, then grab her by the hair and ready himself to slit her throat.

"Why? I just tried to save your life!"

Kixi said gurgling as she struggled to speak, shocked as a volley of blaster fire from Kixi's men hit the boy and killed him instantly.

Kixi woke up, jumped out of the bed that her master [member="George O Rourke"] had placed her in, sweating and breathing heavily from her nightmare. She slowly placed her hand on her chest as her rapid breathing slowly slowed down and her pulse gradually also returned to normal. Her face was all wet. Full of her own sweat. The nightmare she had just witnessed had in fact been part of a real memory. One that she had vividly just relived. Then she wondered how she had gotten to bed in the first place, and remembered the drone sabre training she was doing, and how she had pushed herself and gotten hit.

She inspected her body, where the flurry of blaster bolts had hit her. Surprisingly there were little burns. Master must've used the Force to heal my wounds. She said softly to herself. Then she sat upright on her bed thinking to herself. Thinking of the nightmare she just had and her upcoming mission.I tried to do right by letting the boy go, yet I had done so much bad that he was willing to sacrifice himself just so he could kill me. Doing good and making up for all my wrongs is going to take a lot of hard work and doing. This is why I'm here now. This mission, I must succeed. This will only be the beginning towards the path of the light. But it can't be rushed. I need to stop trying to impress Master and accept that everything will take time. She spoke to herself, rationalising and reasoning with herself.

Finally she got up and would go looking for her master who couldn't be far since the ship wasn't all that big. Best make sure he knows I'm okay, as it won't be long until we drop out of hyperspace and into enemy lines. Kixi said to herself as she rushed out of her quarters looking for him.

[member="Kixi Rajki"]

About an hour or so after putting Kixi to bed, George was once again resting in the cockpit of the ship when he could hear the footsteps on the metallic floor. He swung his chair around standing up and exiting the cockpit. Kixi's woken. I wonder how she is feeling now. Ran through his head as he walked down the hallway looking for her. "Kixi, how are you feeling." He called out, as he walked down the hallway towards where the footsteps were coming from. He had hoped that she would be feeling better as the best part of a day was gone and soon they would be exiting hyperspace right into the most dangerous place for two Jedi.

There was one thing however he wanted to train her on before landing. The art of hiding one's force signature. If a Sith was to realize that they were Jedi it would end their mission and their lives. It would be an important step in making sure that they got in undetected.

Kixi could hear her master call out to her and hurried over to him.

"I'm all okay. Thank you for healing my burns. I got a little excited and carried away when I had realised you were watching me before. I'm sorry about that. I realise I do need to take things one step at a time Master."

Kixi decided to leave it at that and not talk about her nightmare. Now wasn't the time she thought, as the dangerous mission they would be undertaking was ever approaching fast.

"So Master, are there any last minute things you need to show or teach me before we get into the thick of things?"
