SPECIAL FEATURES
  • exterior-coordination-booster hookup: The armor was designed specifically to hook up with Steves ECB, allowing direct communication with the suit. It reads the motions he is trying to make with his body, and makes them happen. It does this at a much faster rate than the normal body would be able to. This hookup also makes hacking the armor almost impossible, as someone would have to know the signals that the ECB is supposed to put out. However since the ECB was designed from scrap by Steve, there’s not much to compare it too.
  • ION/EMP resistance: Much like with the ECB Steve didn’t want to risk something this important suddenly breaking down with him inside of it. The suit if fairly resistant to most EMP/ION attacks. Although, direct hits can damage the suit, as could a powerful enough EMP.
  • Exoskeleton: The suit uses various bars and electronic joints to allow it to perform at the faster and stronger levels that Steve wants it to. It makes Steve far stronger and faster than a normal human, though wouldn’t necessarily allow him to stand up to wookies in regards to their raw strength. The exoskeleton importantly features harder points connected to the skeletons frame (as the skeleton itself is not the entire suit) which allow impact points greater resilience so he wouldn’t break his hands or fingers gripping or hitting something. The knees, back, feet, hands, and head, are primary protected points.
  • Pilots suit: The suit actually involves a full body set. Sealing itself off from the environment around it, and involves a helmet meant to hide the ECB under it. The helmet can be connected so the suit was designed so he could use it for piloting the star-fighters. It does allow him limited resistance for most environments, and could even be worn underwater, although provides almost nothing against dangerous levels of radiation. It is also able to be hooked up to a comms system, to avoid the need of additional pieces.
STRENGTHS
  • Armorweave layer provides some defense against a wide range of attacks.
  • Designed to function as a pilot and (light) environmental suit
  • Hooks up to the ECB exclusively making it very hard to hack into.
  • Allows greater speed and strength than a normal human body, making it great for traversing terrain or melee combat.
  • Technically could function without someone in it, but would be far less effective.
  • Helmet functions as a pilots helmet and can fit ECB inside of it.
WEAKNESSES
  • Low resistance for lightsabers due to the limitations of an armorweave suit.
  • Not actually any more durable than an armorweave suit with impact points. Meaning there are still many weapons that can penetrate it, and that any ballistics that don’t probably still cause pain.
  • Direct ION hits can cause damage to the systems. Though some lighter ION or EMP weapons should be able to be handled.
  • Almost no resistance to Sonic based weapons
  • If used without any body inside, the exoskeleton may be much more ineffective due to the lightweight nature as compared to heavy duty armor. It also would require a specific way of thinking, or acting. ANd without sensors knowing what to do would be hard.
  • If put under other armor it may need the extra armor to be a larger size, especially as the harder points of the Holt Armor may push against them. If it isn’t, it’ll probably wear down the inside of it.
  • Cannot be used without the ECB
DESCRIPTION
The Holt armor (named this because Steve became too exhausted to come up with a better name) is essentially a minor exoskeleton suit. During a time in which Steve was thoroughly considering full body bionics, but chose against due to the downsides it posed, he instead came up with external comparisons. The first of these was the ECB, designed to allow him to coordinate with other electronics via wireless systems. The Holt Armor was designed specifically to work with it. Because of this, pretty much the only way to use the armor is via the headset. As an upside, this makes it very difficult to hack, and also means it can technically be used without a body inside, though due to its now much lighter weight, it would be much less effective. The armor increases physical strength and speed, responding to the signals from the ECB more intuitively then most. And it provides some resistance to most combative or environmental problems. Where the suit falls short is against sound. Having almost no resistance to it, and only a low resistance to lightsabers. Due to being a smaller sized armor, able to theoretically fit under larger armor. However, this isn’t advised, as it would impede movements and would probably end up damaging the extra armor due to the harder points of the exoskeleton. Theoretically it could be controlled remotely, however, since it has no actual sensors, this would prove difficult to understand what it’s doing. And probably pointless due to not being heavy enough to properly wield most weapons. Additionally it would require Holt to be trying to perform the actions the suit is performing, possibly hurting himself in the process. The suit was made to be a multi-purpose environmental, piloting, and combat suit, to aid Holt when faced with issues greater than normally humanly possible. Essentially functioning like partial cybernetics, but worn on the outside, instead of the inside.
