SPECIAL FEATURES
  • High flexibility: A personal upgrade of Holt was to increase the abilities of the joints. Allowing him completely full rotation by actually using multiple joints causing clicking when it swaps between joints.
  • Strength/Speed/Coordination: The arm is considerably more powerful and faster than that of a human allowing him to beat almost anyone in a contest of strength as long as it’s limited to that arm. It makes his one arm seem to allow him incredible skill, but only because it moves so much faster and with much more accuracy than a biological arm can. This also makes the arm perfect for detailed work on electronics.
  • Reinforced duraplast: Although it hasn’t completely covered the arm there are a number of pieces made of duraplast. This makes it especially durable as well as allows it to handle ION/EMP used on it.
  • Internal Specialized Shield Generator: The arm is equipped with a special type of Personal energy shield. It helps to defend against energy and kinetic based attacks and forms around just his body by around one inch. It was designed to coordinate with different parts of his body to allow this close to surface level shielding. This was done through very small pieces of electronics connected to the arm remotely that allow him to control where the shield goes, so he can open it and close it to things he wants to hold. But all originating from the arm. It does run off of an energy cell within the arm.
  • Energy source: The arm uses a dual battery which absorbs electrical energy. It allows him to stick his arm into an electrical generator or wall plug and charge it. This charges one battery first which can absorb the electricity, which transfers energy to the second which is where the arm draws power from. The batteries can last a very long time without being recharged, unless the shield is over-used.
STRENGTHS

WEAKNESSES
  • Can be detected via any magnetic system. And sensors looking for functioning electronics.
  • While durable, the arm is much less durable than an actual combat arm. As the duraplast could only be supplied so much to it making it possible to damage.
  • Synthskin can be much more easily damaged revealing the cybernetics.
  • Cost and difficulty of repairing duraplast is frustratingly high
  • Using the Personal Energy shield drains the arm of its energy. It makes it weaker the longer the shield is used, eventually to the point of causing the arm to completely shut down before the shield goes out with it. Though it may last a while, this shield was not made for warfare. Eventually the main battery can recharge the arm, however this is done over time and is not instant like the main source is used.
  • The energy shield offers minimal defenses to sonic weaponry focusing more on kinetic and blasters.
  • The energy shield does little against the environment more than letting rain fall off of it and preventing intense winds or thrown objects from hitting him.
  • The arm has to be recharged through an electrical source. Either due to over-use of the shield or having gone far too long without recharging.
DESCRIPTION
Holt’s arm was bought for by his parents, with some considerable difficulty, after he lost it in a serious accident. The replacement was made of some use of duraplast and synthskin to cover it up. Originally it was not all that unusual from others, however, this injury had caused his interest in electronics to spike. As a result he regularly began to tinker with the arm, upgrading and manipulating it with each experiment until he’d replaced, altered, or repaired, almost every piece of the arm just keeping the pieces. Even having added some. Holt managed to make the arm far more maneuverable, very coordinated, and especially managed to find a way to add a specialized shield generator.


The arm itself uses two energy cells, one which can absorb electrical energy the arm interacts with sending it to the second, which is the cell the arm itself and the generator draw power from to operate. This allows the arm to be recharged easily in almost any city or ship. Since he just needs an electrical source, and the cells can usually last a very long time. However the use of the shield generator can pull on that power source much quicker, threatening the ability of his arm. It causes his arm to become weaker and weaker until it can’t move at all, and then the shield will eventually also run out of power and flicker away. The arm will ultimately recharge that battery with the electrical absorption battery, but this battery can run out if it doesn’t get it’s electricity from somewhere.

Overall the arm is strong, fast, coordinated, and durable, with a built in shield generator. At the loss of being easily detected by some sensors, able to run out of power, and not having the same extremes of shield protection that some shields offer.
