OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Holocron Name: Holocron of the Force Vampire; Tel Angor’s Holocron
  • Alignment: Dark Side
  • Origin: Tel Angor, the “Force Vampire”
  • Affiliation: Jacen Nimdok Jacen Nimdok (aka Salamander Salamander )
  • Gatekeeper: The gatekeeper of this particular holocron was highly unusual. Rather than a hologram, AI, or other immaterial presence, the gatekeeper was able to assume physical form by absorbing the blood of a sacrifice—in this case, the late Count Astapova of Samovar. The gatekeeper assumed a shape similar to the Count (specifically, his face was the same and the creature had an overall humanoid appearance) while also looking like an “icarus” (perhaps inspired by Tel Angor's monstrous vampiric appearance), possessing six black wings sprouting from its back. The creature attacked Nimdok and Lady Astapova, but was subdued. To obtain the holocron, the device had to be extracted from the body of the gatekeeper.
  • Description: A small red triangular shaped device that Nimdok was able to put in his pocket. Described as an ugly, unsettling “crystal” by those who don't know what it is, it was mistaken for an obscure ancient art piece and sold at auction.
DEFENSES
  • Accessibility: The holocron can be accessed simply by a Force sensitive touching it and concentrating really hard. The reason for this ease of access seems to be that Angor actually wanted the knowledge contained within it to be discovered.
  • Security: There currently is no security on this thing, as it lost its original capstone and therefore its original gatekeeper. The old gatekeeper was able to cause nightmares and insanity in all who came into contact with the holocron. This led to the suicide of Count Astapova, which allowed the gatekeeper to absorb his blood and assume physical form, and thereby attack others. Even in its original non-corporeal form the gatekeeper would attempt to feed on the Force energies of those around it, although in such a weakened state its advances could be easily rebuked. The fear and paranoia generated by such a device meant that no one in their right mind wanted to open it or even keep it within their possession.
Now its got a generic gatekeeper that just mechanically reads all the unfiltered information contained in the crystal matrix.

CONTENT INFORMATION
The Story of Tel Angor - Tel Angor, otherwise known as the “Force Vampire”, is a character whose canonicity is considered ambiguous at best. Therefore it would make sense for his story to not be well known in-universe. There are stories about a “Force Vampire” who preys on Force sensitive individuals, but few know this legendary figure’s origins. The holocron amends that by providing a detailed account of who Angor was and how he came to be the Force Vampire. Unfortunately, this portion of the data was damaged, particularly the parts detailing Angor’s early life and rise through the ranks of the Order of the Silver Jedi.
Force Vampirism For Dummies - Tel Angor’s essence cheerfully explains exactly how he became a Force Vampire, as well as how you can too! All you need is a little alone time to worry over your shortcomings, enormous pressure from your peers to become a saintly/godlike being, and an above average sensitivity to the Force. After a month or so spent meditating and fasting in isolation, you’ll start to feel the weight of your sins compounded by a misguided messiah complex that has been reinforced by the overwhelming magnitude of the task at hand, along with a growing bitterness and resentment at your failure to become a living manifestation of the Force, and presto! You’re now a parasite feeding on the Force rather than becoming a tool of the Force!
Force-activated Supernatural Strength - There would be instructions here for how to turn those raw Force energies you’ve been harvesting from your victims into pure physical strength, whether for offensive or defensive purposes… if this section wasn’t so horribly damaged as to be utterly unusable.
How to Terrorize Your Neighbors - Radiate waves of terror by resonating the dark side within yourself! These waves will cause such palpable fear in your targets that the victim will take physical damage. Victims killed through this power will have looks of absolute terror etched into their faces at the time of death. This one’s funny, because it describes what you can do in great detail, but the part where it explains how to do it is missing.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The holocron was created by Tel Angor some time after he became the “Force Vampire”, but before he allowed the Dark Side to corrupt him completely. It was apparently an attempt to set the record straight and ensure that his existence was properly documented. Angor’s transformation and fall to the Dark Side was considered a crisis and an embarrassment for the Order of the Silver Jedi, as they had arranged for the experiment which ultimately led to Angor’s vampirification, so many of the details of the story were deliberately suppressed. Angor was supposed to become a living embodiment of the Force itself, yet he instead became a Force Vampire, subsisting on Force energies in order to survive. No one but Angor was sure what exactly went wrong… until now.
The answer is surprisingly simple: Tel Angor was only human. He may have been considered the greatest Jedi in the Order, but that didn’t mean he was perfect. For one, the guy was quite self-righteous and full of himself—I mean, what kind of schmuck believes he will become “a living symbol of the Light Side, a glowing beacon of righteousness and justice” simply by fasting and meditating for a little while? Give me a break.
It’s kind of the Dark Side’s thing to create corrupted perversions of the Light Side. Tel Angor, in trying to become the perfect Jedi and an ideal conduit for the Light Side of the Force, had his expectations subverted. When confronted by his own flaws and the impossibility of living up to the ideal he was setting for himself, he despaired and wound up falling to the Dark Side. Now he shuns the Light and must feed on the Force to survive.
Since Angor is described as “radiating like a dark side nexus”, it’s probably safe to say he isn’t a wound in the Force like the conceptually similar Darth Nihilus, (the gatekeeper even responded to the question of who created it by answering “Lord of Hunger”, initially leading Nimdok to believe it was Nihilus’ holocron), even though both feed on Force energies. Rather than emanating an emptiness, this holocron absolutely reeks of the Dark Side. If an untrained Force sensitive hangs around it too long, they will literally lose their mind from all the polluting evil energies this thing puts out.
Which brings us to Samovar. Somehow, the holocron wound up at an art auction on the planet Samovar, where it was bought by Count Astapova, an avid art collector. It wasn’t long before the Count, an untrained Force Sensitive, began to feel the effects. Plagued by nightmares, he was unable to sleep. His behavior became erratic and his speech incoherent. Tragically, after a month of exposure, the Count took his own life. A competition to obtain the holocron was initiated after the Count’s daughter, Lady Astapova, contacted the archaeologist Nimdok in an attempt to learn more about the strange device.
The holocron’s gatekeeper had similar vampiric tendencies to its creator, as well as the power to terrorize its victims. It absorbed the deceased Count’s blood in order to take physical form, but the gatekeeper didn’t actually feed on blood. Like it’s creator, it fed on Force energies. The gatekeeper was attracted to “purity”; possibly it preferred Light Side Force energies in particular.
Interestingly, the gatekeeper claimed that Nimdok was not “pure”, and showed no interest in feeding from him, preferring to go after the Count’s teenage daughter instead...
After subduing and killing the gatekeeper, Nimdok managed to remove the crystal matrix within the pyramid shell. He shattered the outer shell by throwing it out the attic window of the Summer Palace (a building owned by the Astapova family, where the holocron was located following the Count’s death) in order to provoke AMCO AMCO and make everyone think it had been totally destroyed.
The knowledge stored in the matrix was later accessed by placing it inside a brand new holocron shell carefully fitted to the original’s design and specifications, minus the Angor-inspired gatekeeper. It was badly damaged and much of the data was obviously missing, but Nimdok, as an ex-history professor, is quite satisfied with the information it provides on Tel Angor’s life.

lololol so true.

It seems the image has been removed from the blog you linked. Apparently they were asked to take them down by LucasFilm. So you need to find a different source link.
