Hoax On Attahox | Romi Jade

The public transport on which Vik was traveling had been diverted. Daalang starport authorities had alerted the captain that some sort of trouble had shut down landing of incoming ships and they were to proceeded to Attahox. Vik paid little attention of this, he had no known of either place really and he was just happy to be getting away from a situation that was far from pleasant, but with some more experience with how things worked, that people can not be trusted, and anything was possible and most likely to happen, he had enjoyed this trip where he could sit back in the cargo bay and keep to himself. No one bothered him, all the other passengers headed for Daalang had their own business for being there and that was just fine with him.

He could feel the ship shuddering as it entered the atmosphere and made descent, he gripped his bag as if it would save him if the worst was to happen, he was still not used to this traveling in metal ships, it seemed to him to be unnatural for sentients to take to the skies and beyond that. But his developed adventurous nature felt excited with the prospects of seeing something new, it was just a pity that there would be people around to get in his way.

Vik joined the long line of people filing into the customs, it would take a while it looked like as many ships had landed at the same time so he just kept his head down and blended into the crowd. The officials were all smiles, but there was something unsettling about it all, the smiles seemed forced and there was a sense of lurking danger that puzzled him as he passed through the barriers after being cleared to proceed. He rounded a corner of the large dark wall that obscured the view to the main gathering area beyond it, and he was meet with a foreboding scene.

The people that had gone before him now ushered away at gun point. He had no where to go, he could not turn back nor go forward, they were all trapped.

The crystal shades of blue in her irises were something sharp in that they could pierce the shade created by the tan hood cradling her head. She twisted her way through crowds of people, touching none of them as she crawled for a way out of the spaceport. Stopping to find she could not press her slender body through the jagged hold that were two sullustan arms she planted her feet and waited before the next wave.

Heavily populated

Her eyes bounded across the entirety of the sector, the customs authorities had been on high alert and were vetting incoming citizens. For a brief second one of them caught her eye, but with quickness she shielded her face and pushed through the crowd in a diagonal line before circling back around as she lost the guards.

"How am I gonna get out of here..."

She quickly pressed herself up against a wall, and near its end she rounded the corner and melded herself with shadows if only for a temporary fix.

--------------------- Earlier

The durasteel doors to a used frieghter slide open, Romi was pushed forward. She lunged forward and planted her right foot enough to catch herself; she had no use of her arms as they were bound behind her back. Shoved a few more steps, she casually proceeded before shifting all her weight and slamming herself into the guard to her left. There was enough power to throw him into the wall, she however had a cushion; the the recoil was a b****.

Uhn!

The guard behind her wrapped her in his arms, while the other sought to assist in the restraint. Romi, leveraged herself and caught her new opponent by his throat with both her ankles. She spun with enough Force to throw them all down while snapping the neck of the one guard. Hitting the ground, she slid just 3 feet away from one who sought to suffocate her. When he got up, Romi kicked the durasteel wall behind her, propelling herself forward and into a scissor kick that brought him back down. She rolled over on his back, and with help of her core she was able to lift herself up and down multiple times to throw the back of her head against his which slammed his face into the flooring multiple times.

She took the remote to her shock cuffs and freed herself. Standing to her feet she rubbed the length of her wrist.

------------ Back to Now

She bumped into [member="Vik Fagrrowan"] but thought nothing of why he'd been standing there. Much to her surprise one of the guards had been privy to her tricks and followed her while she was avoiding the other. He rounded the corner, and she went for her lightsaber while using her free hand to sweep Vik behind her.

Two others approached and she knew she was outgunned. They'd arrest them both.

(Please don't kill me! Just took me a while to formulate what to respond with. I'M SORRY!)

If I could just find somewhere to hide, the thought running through his mind as he walked along the long line of people. Slowly he made his way to the edge of the crowd, the many that filed passed him, his shield against the eyes of those that attention was on the larger walking masses and he found himself against a wall. He knew he only had a few moments to process a plan but nothing around him gave any encouragement, the only real way out was the door through which the captors where leading the people. What was going on? was this normal of the galaxy? it had not been so far, although he had had some less than desirable experiences in star ports before this.

Next minute he felt himself being pushed aside and the close presence of a women that, it was clear, did not like her situation as much as he. Whatever the woman had in mind did not work and they were surrounded by officials all pointing guns at them both. One of the men stepped forward passed the barrels of the guns, "You two will come with me", he said with no emotion, a lack of care in what would happen to them, as he removed whatever the woman was holding from her hands.

There was little point in telling the guy that he was not with her, so Vik kept his mouth shut. They pair were led to another day, one cut into the metal wall that was not seen before, and as they entered the cold hard view of more metal, narrowed and without life took them to another room for processing. They were left alone for now as the doors closed behind them.

Vik shot a look toward the woman, not lifting his eyes to hers before shoving his hands in his pockets and lowering his gaze to look around the room. There was nothing here but two chairs and a window that provided little light because the veil of night had fallen over the planet. All that they could see was the flicking of lights in the distance and a steady stream of air transports coming and going from that place. Vik walked to the window and tried to open it, but it would not budge and the glass seemed to thick to break, not that he had anything to break it with.

It would not be long before the officials would return to sort them out, and who knew what that meant. But there was little doubt in Vik's mind that whatever it was, or whoever had designs from them, it was not benevolent.

"Feth!'

She dug her fist into her thigh before pacing back in forth in succession. Running her hands through her hair, she gathered up her locs in the crevices between her fingers in an attempt to push them all back. As overconfidence usually does...she found herself stuck in the same situation if not making it worse; she brought someone else along.

A slight pivot was enough to throw her off course, leaving the path she'd stuck to for the last few minutes she approached the humanoid male whom she'd been taken in with. Really, she felt bad. She had no intention of dragging him through more stuff, least of all her own crap.

"Hey..." she walked up behind him, "I apologize for this..."

She sighed, tucking her hands in her back pockets. "I didn't mean to pull you into this crap. I..just...underestimated everything." She nodded, her voice trailing out near the end.

More serious, "I'm gonna get us out of here."

She could feel presences approaching, her head whipped around to peer over her shoulder.

The woman's voice came from behind him, to Vik she was sincere in her words, he could feel that, "I don't think being out there is any safer than here", he spoke as he eyes lifted through the glass pane to watch as the transport loaded up with the people from the starport. He noticed a small child he had seen previously roughly handled into it, what appeared to be her guardians or parents moved to another, the small child was screaming out to them and Vik's brow pulled into a frown. "But we can't stay in here, we have our backs to the wall". So it was time to remove a wall, or at least, a window.

"Don't blame yourself, this is not your doing". Vik took a hand out of his pocket and placed it against the glass, it was cold to the touch from the air outside and as he did so, small white crystalline images began to form and turn to ice, his mind focused on them spreading them across the surface and they grew in intensity as the temperature in the room plummeted. The chill delighted his senses, his body drew strength from it and as it did the glass began to become brittle. Around his hand swirled a white mist, like that of the enchanted mists of Averlorn, it was coming from him, seeping out of his very pores of his hand and entered the glass and it shattered.

The sound of tinkling filled the small room as the shards hit the floor, it was like music it was kind of nice to him and they looked like ice. The fresh air outside entered the room, replaced the stall, and the sound of the whirring of transport engines broke the quiet. He poked his head out the window, looked to the right and left and there was nothing but wall. No one in sight and no one around the transport had heard the breaking glass.

Before Vik could climb out the window, a large image of a man appeared out of thin air towering over the everything and spoke. "Welcome to Attahox, you are now the property of the Attahox Recycling Industries and I your new master", the man had a strangely friendly face, Vik turned toward the woman his eyes bewildered by the sight, he had never seen such a thing. The man continued on speaking, informing the people they would never be able to leave, and if they tried they would perish.

"Don't blame yourself, this is not your doing".
Her head beckoned back, thrown off by his demeanor towards her after her previous plan failed. Soon she found herself lurching in to see what he possessed in his hands but was surprised to see there was nothing; it was his bare hand. Her lips parted for the right words that would allow her thoughts to pass through as they were, but she was already captured by his application of the Force?

Whatever it was, she'd never seen before. Just below the rhythmic cadences of just about every other ambient sound, she could hear the subtle cracking crawling its way towards her ears. It was getting louder. Her revelation wasn't too far behind that as she'd leaned backwards and covered her face to protect herself from the shattered glass.

"How did yo-" Her voice kicking into gear as the urban sounds absorbed everything else, including her voice. She was cut off by the large projection of a hologram.

"Property?" She mused, a brief glance over to her companion stoked a double take from the Jedi Knight. "It..It's a hologram?" she swayed her head. She had only assumed he'd knew, without considering that maybe he'd been from somewhere where these sorts of this were few and far between. Verana was like that in her experiences with flying.

She waved her hand almost to signal him not even to bother with it.

She approached the broken window and peered over to look out and about, turning towards the man "So what's the plan?"

He tried to ignore her question about his ability, the fact was that he could not answer it for he did not know himself. It was just there, and always had been since he was a small child or at least that is when he noticed it. It was not an ability drawn from the Frostvatn, he could tell when he used it or as those off world would say .. the force. But she answered his question of the large figure looming over the area, he had no clue what a hologram was although he had seen similar images of people and object projected, made out of thin air so he supposed that was the name of it.

"The plan?", he turned his head toward her again, away from the towering image. "Not to become someone property". He ventured a smirk, as he poked his head out the broken window once more. "That sort of thing, a thing in the galaxy is it?", the concept of someone owning another was not something Vik had heard of before and the idea of it was abhorrent. Vik scrambled out the window and held out his hand for the young lady to take if she required help. "My name is Vik", he offered and it is kind of nice to know the person name you are escaping with.

"And if you would be so kind as to help, I am going to free those people", he nodded toward the transporting, "I think those people are destined to become the property of that ... hologram. So I think the plan is, not to let that happen".
