SPECIAL FEATURES
- Drill spike gives it sort of the appearance of a bee, mainly for utility or causing permanent damage to larger vessels.
- Fast - Very fast, (obviously)
- Hold its own - against similar sized star fighters, it is more than capable of going blow-for blow with them
- Cheap - There's nothing about this that is particularly expensive, with the real costs only being in the weaponry
- Hive mind - Standard models depend on a central control to operate effectively, destroy that and they will shut down
- Poor armor - Hit this thing with a good solid laser blasts and its out of commission, the hope is that it's so small that enemies will not be able to effectively track it
- Swarm - These droids will only ever attack in huge numbers, making them very susceptible to flak cannons, if they are outnumbered they will almost always retreat
A unique take on a star fighter for sure, the Hive-Class is a structurally weak, but in proportion heavy damage dealing droid that provides utility and firepower on the battlefield to assist in the combat. Apart from the standard weapons, it has a "Bee stinger" attachment on its underside, mainly used for permanently damaging larger vessels. Its armour carapace is also unique in that they can move, almost like arms, in order to deflect light weaponry, although this is virtually ineffective against anything of equivalent size to the interceptor.
Flying like a butterfly and stinging like a bee (pardon the overused saying), this small vessel is capable of inflicting permanent damage while proving to be an effective threat in space and inner atmospheres.
