Faction Hit You like a Hurricane (SJC)

Or'Fol looked at everyone, smiling a little as he watched. He looked at them all, though noticed Risen seemed to be having trouble. He looked at the Padawans around them, giving them a nod before speaking up. "It seems like you're understanding the lesson quite well. As you feel more comfortable, I want you to try to create a burst of air ahead of you. It may seem strange, but this is also the core of a neutral version of the Force Burst, and being able to create a small burst of air could be used in battle, especially on desert or dusty worlds." After saying that, he walked over to Risen, looking at his progress. He hoped the Padawans would be too busy working on creating an air burst to notice him going up the Knight.

"Knight Risen. This everything ok?"

Master Moric approached. The kind herglic had a few inches on Risen, which was rare, and a far more commanding frame. Still, he was delicate in addressing Risen’s failure.

He still hadn’t found the words to express his problem, but gave it a try, speaking in hushed tones. “Of course, sir. It’s just… I…” Risen sighed. “I can’t use the Force like the Jedi can. We — “ Wince. “I was taught that the body was a conduit for the Force.”

Risen drew in a breath the way he’d been trained, taking in just enough Force to glow dimly. The feeling of power tempted him to hold it longer, but he released it with another outbreath. That strength was his. It lived in his body, enhancing it, changing it. He could extend it to his weapons because his weapons were also him.

And the wind,
he thought. When you run, wind in your hair, it feels…

Words failed him. “That’s all.” He’d leave it at that, suddenly conscious that he was taking up the Master’s time. Hopefully it was enough to go on.

What he was asked to do next seemed familiar. In fact, it sounded like what he had just been doing before managing to making a whirl out of bending it. With a bit of concentration and focus, he soon created a burst in front of him. Once again, his method lacked the same refinement that he had hoped to achieve and covered too large of an area, causing a number of leaves to blow about - if anybody else was trying the technique in the same direction, it was bound to collide at which point he'd let out a "Sorry!" before continuing the practice. After trying a few times where he got more and more control of it, Mathieu eventually managed to topple a chair - albeit by complete accident. Perhaps it was a sign that he had got far enough with this technique. At least if he could control it to not blow other things over. The new Jedi Padawan jogged over to the toppled plastic chair and picked it back up before returning to where he sat before.
