Private Hit Me With Your Best Shot

It was something quite typical of Eryneth to find some cantina holding fights that weren't entirely approved by the authorities, but it was about the only life the woman had these days. She was known by now and starting to earn a fairly good wage provided her performance was good. So many people thought this was just a show staged for their enjoyment, however, she knew different and might have still nursing a few bruises left over from the previous night. Luckily, she had harder skin than humans and she had left her opponent in worse condition.

Tonight was just going to be another repeat of the night before and probably the same for tomorrow night. Mentally shrugging, she was getting ready for the evening and stretching out a little. Putting on a few wrappings to protect some of her more bruised and vulnerable areas, she could hear the chatter of those in the small arena waiting for the fights to begin.

Wondering who or what she was going to be up against, she finished her preparations and headed to the staging area. Not quite smiling, she was friendly to the other fighters and they all knew there were no hard feelings coming from her. This was a job to her and she was all business. Eryneth neither liked nor disliked any of the people here. Stretching a few more times, she nodded when she was ready to head to the ring.

Hearing the announcer a few moments later, she walked into the light a second or two after her name was called. Coming out of the other door was a new face but she nodded to him as well and held out one of her arms so he could shake a hand. Instead of him being civil about the whole thing, she found herself flying over his shoulder in a throw. The move caught her by surprise but she quickly regained her feet and the fight started again. Using the power of her runes, the tattoos glowed now and then as she touched the Force.

Four arms were usually an advantage she had but this man was faster and actually gave her some sport. Eventually, her strength won out over his speed and he went crashing to the sand with a dull thud and she bowed to those watching as she started leaving the ring. Somebody stopped her though.

One of the many patrons invited her to join and offered to pay for a few drinks from her and some conversation. She wasn't one to look a gift in the mouth and requested to be given a few minutes to clean up before joining him. The messenger said he would reply and come back to escort her.
