Intent: To provide a personal home for the Heavenshield Clan. This is a place of solace when the family needs to be away from the duties of galaxy life.
Classification: A house.
Location: At the base of Clenched Fist - largest and highest of all mountains on Midvinter, there is a dale that nestles between the ranges. The dale is large with room for small ships to land, there is a small lake which is frozen for most of the year.
There are few trees but the dale is covered in thick long grasses and blooms with wild flowers in the Thaw. On foot, Himmeldal is accessible by those intrepid enough to climb over the rangers. At the lowest point in the rangers, there you will find a narrow pathway which will lead any explorers into the dale. The journey of which will take the best part of a day.

Description: Primarily, the house is constructed using wood, stone and whitewash. The exterior of the house is designed with inlays of Valkyri design on the doors, windows, eves and roof. The heavy beams that hold up the roof and support the wooden roof tiles are carved in the traditional totems of the Valkyri.
The interior, is mostly wooden, the walls and floors are stained and ceiled to keep out the cold drafts and many black/brown Álk fur cover the floor for comfort and warmth. The windows are made of glass and in winter wooden shutters are bolted to protect the house from the biting cold and snow.
There is a long main living room, with a central hearth, comfortable sofas and tables for conveniences. On the back wall is a tapestry of the family standard coloured in blue and gold. The kitchen is located toward the back of the house, as well as other convenience facilities for cleaning and washing. On the right hand side of the house is a bathing room, constructed of stone and fed with the thermal water springs that issue up from the ground below the mountain rangers.
On the upper levels are the bedrooms. One master bedroom, the children’s bedrooms and a guest room. These rooms are fed with warmth from the central hearth and the kitchen through means of vents and pipes.
History: Himmeldal was built as a gift for Coci Heavenshield’s husband, Thurion. She had contacted his father, [member="Thrand Dawnbringer"] with the idea of building a home for their family on Midvinter. Away from the curious eyes of the Valkyri that loved their royal family, it is a place of solace for the Heavenshields, in which they can go and be at peace.
Coci, with Thrand, organised the building supplies and plans and commissioned skilled Valkyri to construct the house. It took several months due to the nature of the location and the means by which to transport them to the location. However it is completed and ready to welcome the family home.
