In fact, that's precisely why that stakeholder held that particular responsibility in the first place. For all the talk of artificial diamonds, Dunames realizes that the food supply depends on whether they were able to get the shipments in the first flight of the Hijarna colony. [member="Lyth Meran"] knew that it would do no good to rely on the Dominion Senate for assistance on Hijarna, if that stakeholder didn't do its job, because the colony would not officially belong to the Dominion either.

Ah, yes, she knew that manufacturing defense equipment is not the same as actually using a base effectively - at best a defense contractor could supply the equipment on its own. But operating the base is best left to a PMC or an actual military. Meran Mechanics and, by extension, [member="Lyth Meran"], knew what they could supply: they apparently supplied the Silver Jedi with some equipment Sasori Research didn't even attempt to do. Meanwhile, the equipment for the hydroponic farming complex is being hauled up to the earmarked area for that end in the colony, so that the construction may begin in earnest.
