The Story So Far

Pre-RNR/THR (CIS & Kingdom of Naboo)
897 ABY: Fall of the CIS

The Fall of The Confederacy of Independent Systems began with the arrival of The Unmaker, a malevolent entity that opened Netherworld Rifts across all CIS territories.

The city of Theed became the epicenter of the battle, defended by Confederate Armed Forces, local militias, and Knights Obsidian.

The Confederate flagship, Seeker of Truth, made a desperate suicide run in orbit, detonating its reactors to clear an escape corridor for refugee ships.

The conflict culminated when an Eldorai Knight Obsidian channeled ancient powers to banish The Unmaker and successfully close the rift.

Despite the victory, the Confederacy of Independent Systems abandoned Naboo and all their territories, leading to the collapse of the government and creating a power vacuum seen as the ultimate act of betrayal by survivors.

Lawlessness and crime surged in the Southern Systems, with bandits and warlords claiming territory; Theed was left in ruins.

Naboo survivors eventually began rebuilding the planet, adopting a new policy of fierce self-reliance, determined never to trust or rely on foreign powers for their survival again.

900 ABY: Remembrance Day

The New Way emerges: The terrorist organization, "The New Way," founded by Baros Sal-Soren, launched a devastating bioweapon attack on Naboo during a memorial gathering at the Ee'everwest Estate.

The New Way's Ideology and Origins: Led covertly by Baros Sal-Soren, the group advocated against Force-wielders, viewing the Force as an unnatural imbalance needing eradication. Initially, their actions were political, but they escalated to sabotage, assassinations, and eventually large-scale terrorism.

Bioweapon - Pazhkic'Dau: The New Way developed Pazhkic'Dau, a parasitic bioweapon refined from Yuuzhan Vong biotechnology, intended to sever connection to the Force. However, trials showed it caused widespread casualties among the general populace, while disproportionately harming Force-sensitives.

Memorial Day Attack (900 ABY): Dozens of bioweapon dispersal devices released Pazhkic'Dau at the Naboo memorial, causing rapid, severe flu-like symptoms and mass deaths, especially among Force-sensitives.

Baros Sal-Soren's Demise: After going on the lam due to internal New Way schisms, Baros resurfaced to try and save his captured wife, Teyla, who was exposed to the bioweapon. He was fatally wounded by an assassin, and both he and Teyla died. His role as the architect of The New Way was then publicly exposed.

Briana Sal-Soren's Redemption: Baros's daughter, Briana, publicly condemned her father and The New Way. She tracked the virus's source to a hidden New Way base, infiltrated it to steal samples and destroy the lab, preventing further use of the bioweapon.

The Cure Found: Using the recovered samples and Baros's own research, scientists developed an antidote for Pazhkic'Dau, saving the lives of the remaining infected.

The New Way Continues: With their lab destroyed, The New Way's members scattered, but it is believed they are not defeated and remain a persistent threat.
