OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
Intent: To create a companion and team player to Zylah who will look out for the homestead while she's off in the galaxy Jediing about. He'll also serve a role similar to her team's "blacksmith", in that he'll make and repair most equipment that Zylah herself would be incapable of doing on her own.

PHYSICAL INFORMATION
Age: 28
Force Sensitivity: Yes (Knight)
Species: Arkanian
Appearance: Herron is a tall Arkanian male with a slender build. Unlike Humans, he has four clawed fingers on each hand. As is typical with his species, his hair is a silver white, as are his eyes. Combine it with his natural tan complexion, his species is easily identified. His hair is kept at a medium length and usually loose. No need for extravagance or a lavish lifestyle, his choice in attire is often simple and minimalist. The only exception being whenever the need calls for him to leave his home on Ithor, when he will dress to the occasion whether to better play the role of diplomat or use one of his custom made armours as a back-up warrior.

Herron is a bit of a recluse, although he was not always like that. Like many Arkanians he started out ambitious and held himself in the highest esteem. In time he has been humbled by the Force and becoming aware of his own insignificance. Now he stands as a contrast to the typically arrogant Arkanians. While retaining their signature intelligence, he is both humble and content with his lot in life.

A young scholar of the Force, he treats the Force as a neutral entity without affiliating himself with neither Sith nor Jedi. Similarly, he takes no sides between the warring factions of the galaxy. The only stance he takes is against the oppression of freedom and the corruption of the Dark Side, in whatever form it may manifest itself. Even so, Herron leads decidedly towards rehabilitation as opposed to punishment. Far from a warrior, Herron is more of a diplomat. Knowledge and research (of the Force, specifically) are his primary interests and his function in life. However, the kind of research conducting by some of his fellow Arkanians, such as experimentation on other species and genetic manipulation in general, he treats with disgust.

Those who do know of him might think of him a bit of a mystic hermit. People tell of him as a spiritual man living on his own in the middle of the forest, far away from civilised society. Yet there are few who have anything negative to say about him. A temperate man, he is known for being both honest and patient with people.

COMBAT INFORMATION
Weapon of Choice: The Force, Lightsaber
Combat Function: Herron is not much of a warrior. Physically speaking he is average. Not unfit, but far from battle-hardened. He much prefers helping others realise their potential and make sure they go into battle well-equipped. However, when it comes to it he has received training from Zylah in lightsaber combat, yet his skill does not go far beyond simply being competent. His greats asset in battle comes from his understanding and knowledge of the Force, however, in terms of sheer power he does not exceed that of your average Knight.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Herron Sarat comes from a moderately wealthy and well-respected family on Arkania. His childhood wasn't much out of the ordinary; being raised by loving albeit ambitious parents, school, young love, all of it. Being told constantly to reach for the stars, that he was special and could have everything he wanted in life, unsurprisingly, when he discovered he was Force Sensitive he saw it as proof of exactly that.

Eager to learn and hungry for knowledge, Herron travelled the galaxy in search of knowledge and a deeper understanding of the Force. Throughout his travels he became exposed to the tragedies of the galaxy. War, famine, corruption. All things he was familiar with before, but always viewed through a screen or stories free of empathy. Seeing it for himself changed him. Due to his affinity with the Force, not only did he see thing, but he could feel them. He sensed the fear, the pain, the suffering people needlessly went through and it made more of an impact than a newsreader ever could.

Herron eventually crossed paths with the Jal Shey. He stayed with them learned from them, although they did not admit him as a member until he had remained under their observation for a long time. However once they did, he dedicated himself to their cause and dove deep into his research with purpose and vigour.

Fearlessly standing up to injustice did gain him his fair share of enemies over the years. This led to him becoming a marked man. First labelled as someone to be taught a lesson, then someone sentenced to die. Knowing bounty hunters, or worse, might be on his tail, he determined that family and a normal life was not intended for him. Herron withdrew from society, and went into hiding on the planet of Ithor. Here he made a home for himself, deep within the planet's jungles, using his intelligence not for science and technology, but rather the mysteries of the Force. Unaffiliated with with both Sith and Jedi, siding with life, remaining in the middle of the spectrum. It was also here on Ithor he ran into the Jedi Zylah Dvale, in her rogue Jedi days. The two formed a strong bond and developed a great friendship. A direct result of this is Zylah being permitted to treat his home on Ithor as her own.

So just a few things:
  • Link to the site where you got the image from please
  • Lightside Alchemy should really be Imbue Item, as the link only leads to the page of the Jal Shey, not the actual ability
  • I do enjoy the CK2 reference there

Edited!

I swapped it out for "Jal Shey Techniques". Would you be alright with that? I couldn't find any other link, though on the page it refers to various items crafted by them. Just thought it sounded better, I can change Jal Shey Techniques to Imbue Item also if you prefer.
