Personality and Appearance​

As a mutant hated by all Chiss, Heretic bears blue, almost translucent skin with red-black eyes and chrome teeth, and sports deep red hair kept in a loose, swept back style. She stands at an optimal 5'11 and weighs 190 pounds of lean muscle, but has proven capable of being able to lift far beyond her own weight with moderate effort.

Given her namesake by her own people, she has defied their very way of life. Where the Chiss are respected, artistic, and cautious, Heretic has willingly entered the underbelly of Galactic Society and has become a feared, depraved, and brazen huntress. This can allegedly be attributed to her exile from Chiss society who viewed her mutations as horrendous, forcing her and her family to the outskirts of their capital city to live in squalor.

Within the underbelly, she is an assassin for hire who strikes from the shadows when the moment befits her and will kill whomever she must to complete the contract, excluding children.

Heretic's vehement refusal to slay children can arguably be seen as her one redeeming quality for the mercenary feels no guilt for the slaying of men and women, even when it is revealed they truly did not deserve it. To her, a contract is a contract and it helps pay for her ever growing list of material desires such as new weapons, armor upgrades, and, most importantly, ship upgrades.

In short, Heretic is an assassin to the last, never breaking a contract unless absolutely, undoubtedly necessary.

Strengths​

• Expert Marksman (+): Heretic has earned a rightful reputation of never missing her shots, no matter the range. It is said amongst many in the underworld that she only misses when she wants to. If she does, it is either to extend the hunt for some outside purpose (such as a sudden change in the contract), because too many innocents are in the way, or because she simply felt like it.
• Walking Armory (+): She is more often than not outfitted with the latest and greatest upgrades she can afford to better her performance and survivalist capabilities. Most upgraded is her anti-material pulse cannon, capable of blasting through armor plating with ease and reducing organics to melted piles of slag. Alongside this are her ever trustworthy modified WESTAR-34 blaster pistol, her A-180 blaster pistol, and her prototype Bluebolt Shotgun.
• Experience and Willingness (+): Due to her consistent line of work, Heretic is highly experienced for her age and is capable of a wide array of feats involving agility, reflexes, and surprising strength. Additionally, due to the possessing true empathy only for children, she is willing to take on any contract and will always see it through.

Weaknesses​

• Lack of Empathy (-): Perhaps due to her upbringing or her constant work in the assassination field, Heretic possesses almost no empathy for life outside of a select few. This makes it extremely difficult for the mercenary to forge lasting relationships outside of contractors, and even then it is rare for her to hold onto a contractor for more than a few years at best.
• Overconfidence: In the same vein as Sith Lords, Heretic is so assured of her skills that she willingly misses shots just to hunt the target for a longer period of time. This, of course, has sometimes put her in situations she did not account for, and may one day bring about her end.
• Reliance on Gear (-): As with most bounty hunters, Heretic is highly reliant on her gear, to the point of practically being incapable of doing anything else without it. While she is a trained hand-to-hand combatant, she more often than not will always carry a plethora of backup weapons to ensure she never has the disadvantage, thus limiting her capabilities to handle situations wherein she does not have weaponry.

Basic Biography​

Not much is known about Heretic's early life beyond the hearsay of the Chiss who still hold some knowledge of her childhood. It is said that she was born to a mother and father who were vocal opponents of a particular politician of the Chiss capital, arguing that his plans were dangerous and foolhardy. Naturally, this did not go over well with the politician. Rather than deal with the backlash of making a political enemy, the couple retired from their opposition and lived a quiet life in their estate.

The mother eventually became pregnant some years after this and eventually gave birth to a baby girl. However, what should have been a momentous occasion turned sour when it was discovered the child bore many mutations, most notable being her translucent like skin, red-black eyes, and chrome teeth. It was deemed by those in attendance, save for the parents, that she was a demon, come from the depths of the underworld to punish the family for their past sins. This was further supported by the girl's older siblings being perfectly formed Chiss.

The family was subsequently forced to abandon their home to protect the child, something the eldest children despised as they were prepared to enter the military and serve with honor. Which their abandonment of their life, their names were stricken from records, rendering them nameless and forgotten. They relocated to a shack at the outskirts of their society and lived in squalor for much of the child's young life.

As the child grew, she was taught ways of combat by her father and siblings, becoming surprisingly proficient at melee combat, but found disdain for the social stigma that never allowed her to properly use these skills. Thus, she quickly fell into a life of crime, hidden from her family and what peers she had, and stealing what he wanted. Of course, this would not remain hidden for long and she was eventually arrested by the capital city's police after attempting an armed robbery of a cantina. Her trial found her guilty of almost forty counts of theft and was sentenced to six years in prison, due to it being her first sentencing and the judge having a moment of compassion for the child they had outcast.

Whatever happened after this trial has been lost in Chiss record as the child, as well as her family, soon vanished from sight before even making it to the prison. It is believed by some that the child escaped on her own accord or had help. Either way, the child and her family were nowhere to be seen.

It was only after nearly a decade and a half that the girl reemerged into sight as an infamous assassin with a body count as wide as the Galaxy. She was only identified as the same child from 15 years prior when her people caught wind of a strange-looking Chiss making waves in the underworld and found several videos and pictures of the huntress's face.

Thus, the Chiss, after branding her as Heretic, have routinely sent out their own personal hunters to recapture the girl and bring her back for sentencing, grand homicide and political assassination now listed amongst her crimes. No hunter has ever been successful in capturing her, but that has not stopped the Chiss from trying again and again, their pride and honor refusing to let this blemish upon their people live to a full life.
