Here thar be pirates

His eyes widened and his hands Instinctively raised, the force channeling through his palms towards his little brother just as their Gramma caught the tiny blue boy. His hands lowered and he breathed a sigh of relief as they went and sat by the fire. His gaze locked onto his brother and Gramma as he whispered.... "I didn't se anything Gamma"

Gal burbled happily as he almost managed to squirm out of his gramma's grip. He had his toy, and he was happy to press the buttons and giggle at all the lights and noises that came out of it. But it was more fun if he could sit on the ground! Why was everybody trying to catch him? He quietly looked up at Zandra with his big baby eyes.
Gramma, put me down? I wanna play! Play, play, play!
Still outside, Lor held Rawnie's hand as they boarded the Bluebird. She was so... quiet. It reminded him of when they'd first started working together... and then the quick pace that the two of them had set after that. Here they were, just barely two years later, and they were happily married with two over-excitable little kids. That felt really nice. Within a minute of boarding the Firespray, Lor had gently put his wife's luggage on the ground and dragged her into his arms on the couch.
"I missed our Birdy, too... We've been through a lot with her. I'm just glad she got us back."
He sighed happily, resting his forehead on Rawnie's shoulder. The two of them were home.

On that familiar couch again. Rawnie smiled dreamily in the arms of her husbands. She'd never been this happy. Not once in her entire existence. Before him, there was only duty, servitude. Not she had a real family. A purpose. And she wasn't sure how long it was going to last before the Alor council demanded she go fight for them again.
No. Not again. Not ever again. If she was going to risk her life, or the life of someone she loved, it was going to be for a cause she believed in.

"Lor? I'm leaving the council," she confessed, "I'm pulling Clan Tal'verda from their war."

Zandra let the baby fiddle with his toy, smiling silently at his giggles. Corrin had been a happy baby, just like this little one. She ran a hand through his silky white hair. Pretty, against all that blue. Like a real ice child. Of course, little Galaar probably got his pleasant demeanor from his father. Rawnie wasn't half this sweet when she was a baby. Not that she cried often. She was actually really good about that. But she didn't really smile or laugh either.

"So Ryker," she said, "You wanna hear a story?"

"He wants down in the floor Gramma" He stated with a chuckle as he told his Gramma what his baby told him. They had a very strange connection with one another and could normally speak without having to actually speak. When his Gramma brought up the idea of a story, Ryker quickly nodded his head and got excited..... "I love stories Gramma, please tell us one"

Lor visibly relaxed and let out a sigh at Rawnie's words. Finally. He took her hand and gave it a gentle squeeze as he smiled teasingly at her. He hadn't even needed to say anything about leaving the fight. In fact, he'd been planning to use the time away to convince his wife to withdraw for a while. He suddenly had the guilty thought that he'd accidentally underestimated her.
"And here I was half hoping I'd have to seduce you into saying that, visahot. 'Course, I should've guessed you were already thinking about it."
He grinned a little wider and pulled Rawnie in to lean on him a little. That was something he hadn't done in a while.
