Background and Biography
For as long as Herata can remember, she has lived among the Nanta clan of Tatooine. Deep in the Dune Sea, her home is a fortress hidden in a canyon. Here, she was born, safe from the outside world. Her clan's shaman discovered her sensitivity to the Force early in her life, and took her under her wing as an apprentice.
The shaman instructed her in the ways of ancient Jawa magic, teaching her basic techniques and rituals. Herata took to the teachings well, believing fervently in the old Jawa ways.
Like most of her kind, Herata was taught how to fix things so that others would want to buy them. While not as adept at this practice as magic, Herata proved to be a capable salvager, and gained experience trading with merchants.
She became very interested in other cultures from these interactions, dreaming of learning more about them. Seeing this, the shaman decided that as an initiation, she would send Herata away, telling her not to come back until she had 'discovered herself'.
Now alone in the galaxy, Herata seeks enlightenment and adventure among the unfamiliar stars.
