Help! Leori Sheltrak

[member="Leori Sheltrak"]

"I know I have." He says quietly to Leori. Hawk had seen them so much he could recite the dialogue with the characters. Maddie lays back down to finish watching the movie.

"Would you like some butter on your popcorn? I didn't put any in ours." Hawk figured if it was plain it wouldn't be so grease. Maddie glances back at the adults. She shakes her head than turns back to watch the movie.

Leori shook her head. "No thanks, I'm not hungry." She'd lost her appetite earlier in the day after witnessing a tremendous amount of vomiting in the medical centre.

The movie had started. It was of course one that she had seen. She'd seen a lot of holo movies in her lifetime. Way more than she'd ever admit to. "Glad that you two are feeling well enough to put something in your stomach." She offered a smile.

"Yeah. We started to feel hungry." Hawk yawns and stretches his arm a across the back of the couch. He wasn't trying to make a move on Leori. He liked her but knew that her life was complicated.

Maddie glances back again. "Do you have boyfriend?" She asks Leori. Hawk rolls his eyes. Poor Leori. Maddie integration was about to begin.

Leori shook her head. She knew the game. And she was ready for it. "No, I don't." She looked at Hawk and smirked. "A Jedi is discouraged from forming attachments of that nature." It wasn't encouraged, that was for sure. And it was frowned upon for a Master to get involved with a Padawan.

[member="Leori Sheltrak"]

"Why? Are attachment bad?" Asks Maddie. "I don't think they are bad. They just make it complicated." Says Hawk. It was one of the reason he liked the Silver Jedi. "You just have to have balance. Don't you agree Leori?"

[member="Hawk Solo"]

Leori nodded. "They can be bad in some respects. Relationships affect our choices and decisions. We can make the wrong ones if we don't remain objective in our thoughts. But as your father said, it's about balance. Me, I am already torn because of my oath of healing. So I don't stretch myself too far."

She was still recovering from...recent events. The Jedi Master wasn't entirely sure what she thought about relationships anymore.

Maddie listen carefully than nods happy with the answer turns back to finishes watching the movie. "Good answer." He whisper to Leori. He knew from experience if Maddie wasn't happy with an answer she would have a mini debate.

"You okay?" She seemed off a little bit.

Leori smirked a little when Maddie turned back to the movie. Children wanted to believe adults. It made it easy to convince them. There were no untruths in her words, but she avoided lying only barely.

She nodded to Hawk. "I'm okay. Just tired and drained. I'll need a night of meditation." The Jedi Master tended to meditate most nights, rather than sleeping. Sleeping brought her visions. The problem was that she didn't know if the visions were real or in her mind, past, present or future. It troubled her when she was awake. So, if she didn't get them, all was well.

"Forget the meditating. You need to get some sleep." He smiles as he notices Maddie had fallen asleep on the floor. He motions to Leori. "Shhh she asleep. I'm going to put her to bed. Than we can talk."

He gently picks up Maddie's sleeping body and carries her to bed. He places in her bed and tucks her in. He kisses her forehead. "Night sweetie." He whispers to her.

He leaves her door ajar than goes into the family room. "How about I make us some hot chocolate?"

Hawk waits for a response than he realizes that Leori fell asleep. He get an extra blanket and gently drapes it on her. Poor things was exhausted. He switches off the tv and lights. It was time for bed.

He goes to his room and changes into his pj bottom than climbs into bed and falls asleep.

Leori woke from a disturbing dream. She was disoriented. It was dark, and she was not in her room. It took her a moment to figure out where she was. Clearly she was the only one awake, as it was dark. However, she couldn't just up and leave, that would be rude. So, she sat up and closed her eyes. Now she had to meditate, to clear her mind of the disturbing images that still lingered in her mind.

And it was there she stayed until one of them approached.

The next morning, Maddie was the first one to wake up. She runs into the family room to turn on some morning cartoon. Maddie stops suddenly as she spies Leori sitting on the couch. "Morming." She says quietly trying not to wake up her Daddy. "We have to be quiet. Daddy not a morning person."

Leori opened her eyes and turned to face Maddie. "Well then, I have the solution." She got up and wrote a note and left it where she was seated moments before. It read, "Getting breakfast with Maddie, be back soon."

"We'll go get breakfast and bring it back here." She smiled.

Maddie grins. "Yay!" She says quietly. It was going to be so much fun going to breakfast with Leori. She missed being around other girls. She runs to her room to get dress. She put on pair of jeans and pink bunny top. She slips on her sandals and goes back to the family room with a brush and hair tye. "Help. Daddy really bad with hair."

[member="Hawk Solo"] ((sorry was away for the weekend))

Leori offered her a smile and took the brush from her. She patted the bed for Maddie to sit. Gently she brushed Maddie's hair, and pulled it into a high ponytail at the crown of her head. "There you go. Let's go."

She offered the child her hand and headed out of the quarters and toward the mess hall. It was much quieter than usual, which told her that not everyone had regained their appetites yet. "What would you like to eat?"

"Hmmmmm pancakes! I love them. Do you like them?" Maddie ask as she hold Leori hand as they walk.

Hawk woke up to a quiet quarters. He laid in bed for a moment. It was too quiet. He put his robe on and went into Maddie's room. She wasn't there but the room was a mess. That meant that she was up. He goes into the family and found the note. He breathes a sigh of relief. They went for breakfast.

He walks into the kitchen and makes a pot of caf.

"I don't know anyone that doesn't like pancakes." Leori replied. "What's not to like?" Sugar. And sugar. What wasn't to like? Leori didn't know. She wasn't one of those people that didn't like them.

The Jedi Master on the other hand, was reminded by the rumbling of her stomach how long it had been since her last meal. She chuckled a little. It looked like she had earned the right to pig out. She helped herself to some eggs, toast, pancakes and bantha strips. That ought to please her body. And she got some pancakes for Maddie.

Everything made it to the table, and she sat down to eat. She would get Hawk's food before they left, so that it would still be warm when they brought it to him.

((so Apparently I forgot to tag you....))

Maddie sat down next to her. She waits for Leori to cut her pancakes. She wasn't allow to use a knife yet. She take a sip of her juice. "Leori.. Will you help me find a girl for my Daddy?"

[member="Hawk Solo"]

Leori cut up her pancakes quickly, and then cut up her own. She had a mouthful of pancake when Maddie made her inquiry. "That isn't exactly how it works, Maddie. We can't know who he would be attracted to, or have a connection with. That is something he has to find and figure out on his own."

She gestured to Maddie's plate. "Eat up."
