LFG Help a Journalist!

Hello!

I've just made this journalist character as an attempt to do something a little different. She's young, scrappy and ready to report on just about anything. My hope is that she can engage with different kinds of story, whether it's getting embedded in the action or interviewing people. I'd then try and put these into articles that reflect the stories that Tal has been involved with, but we'll see how that goes!

For now, I'd just like to get started with a few threads, just to help me get a feel for the character.

Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

What about interviewing a Huttese Jedi aboard his praxeum ship?

The Mahporeem Imperial Remnant would be quite interested in conducting an interview once I return from my LOA next week!

As someone who wrote a journalist character it can be extremely difficult to get threads going that are not interviews. I had to shelf my character because she wasn’t growing, she just just telling other peoples stories. Interviews are fine but when it’s ALL the character does it feels like they don’t really go anywhere.

I would be up to do a social thread to try to help with that!

Yea lol I realize my comment came off a little dick like. I so did not mean it that way.

I thought about this a little when coming up with a niche for the character and my attempt (however thin) of trying to get around this was being a mix of interviewer and on-the-field reporter. That way she could get involved with dominions, junctions or whatever major threads it would make sense for a member of the press to be there.

I appreciate I may be being optimistic with this! You didn't come across as a dick at all, I'm happy to learn from people who've gone down the same path.
