DESCRIPTION
You ask anyone anywhere, and they'll tell you a few things about Setter Ryburn- he doesn't like Jedi all that much, he doesn't like Mandalorians all that much, and he never really likes to wear armor. Two of things have changed in the time he spent at the Silver Jedi, but his disdain for the Mandalorians hasn't waned in the slightest. In fact- it might have grown.
And as war with the Mandalorians comes to Setter, Setter realized one thing- he was outgunned. Normally, he was facing a sort litany of enemies, henchmen, cronies, and otherwise low-life or poorly-trained knuckleheads on behalf of the Silvers. That is going to change when he has to go against a well-trained, well-heeled enemy. Knowing that his usual tactics won't work- Setter got to work with a new set of armor-
Something that would make him one scary, bad mother on the field, and protect him as much as he could do damage. Naming the suit after his old Republic Squad, he aims to capture the intensity of Havoc squad by himself.
Strengths:
"Hasta la vista, baby."
This armor is designed to be the ultimate protection for a soldier- specifically, Setter. While usually forgoing armor altogether, Setter realizes that he needed a set of armor that would do as much as protection as he could do damage. With that- the armor is heavy. Very heavy. But very protective, like the Mandalorians Setter intends to face.
"Nobody puts baby in a corner!"
With the weight- the suit needed something. A little pzazz. A little somethin' somethin'- specifically somethin' somethin' that makes it easier to move around- a special powersuit with an exoskeleton that allows Setter to carry the heavy weight while being able to operate at a decent level. This also means that he, in the event of a hand-to-hand situation, provided they are unable to get him to the ground, whoever would fight him would have a tough time trying to physically overpower him.
"Here's Johnny!"
With the idea being that he wanted to transfer his aggression in shockboxing to his armor, Setter's addition of a powersuit has given him a significant strength boost, and the ability to deliver some mean, clean, face-ripping hits, along with the ability to lift heavy objects. Meaning that if he so chose, he could rip someone's face off in one instance, and move debris in the next.
“You've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel lucky?' Well, do ya, punk?"
Setter can carry- with the webbing and pouches on the armor around his waist, a significant amount of ammunition. To you know, murder. Depending on the weapon, he can carry roughly twice of what he normally could carry without the powersuit-aided armor.
Weaknesses:
“I'm walking here! I'm walking here!”
As much as he would like to- Setter isn't capable of running very far in the armor without wearing himself out immensely, even with the addition of the powersuit. Thusforth, he has to either go at a steady slow pace, or at best- a jog. Running would put too much stress on the powersuit- and if he overloads the exoskeleton by putting too much rapid stress on it. Jogging and walking won't overload the suit, but running will.
“The Dude abides”
While damn hard to kill in this suit- Setter was unable to put any extra stress on the already-loaded exoskeleton. As such, this suit is extremely vulnerable to EMP and Ion attacks- to the point that if he is hit with one of these attacks, he will be stuck holding the weight of his armor by itself until the exoskeleton comes back online.
“Yo, Adrian!"
As a boxer, Setter realized that he should dedicate more of the powersuit and exoskeleton to his upper body- meaning that while he can relatively move quickly with small joint movements (Ie, punching, reloading his weapon, pointing, etc), his legs have less of an advantage with movement- part of the reason that he has to move so slow with the armor on. This is a disadvantage in the fact that he is unable to move his lower body, but an advantage that he has the ability to move his upper body in a somewhat decent manner, albeit slower.
“I'm just one stomach flu away from my goal weight.”
This armor is heavy- protective, bulky, can tank a lot of damage, but boy does thing weigh one metric crapload for the average joe-schmoe Human. 90Kg is a lot for a human- especially spread out on their body. The exoskeleton reduces the weight to feel more like 20kg, but even still, one needs to be in especially good shape and have a certain tenacity in order to wear the armor for an extended period of time.
"You couldn't hear a dump truck going through a nitroglycerin plant!"
Setter is usually a quiet guy- but stealth goes out the window with this thing. Someone could hear him coming from about a quarter mile away, if he's moving. If he's standing still, he might have a chance to hide or at least not be heard. But if he's moving, the sound of the exoskeleton, the clanking of his metal boots- not exactly a thing he can sneak around in.
"Help, I've fallen and I can't get up!"
As such with a heavy suit of armor, getting knocked down means that Setter will have to roll around like an idiot and get up very slowly.
