Public Haven Party

Tregan Mallhane

It was all he could have hoped for. Months of planning and developmental meetings. Months of gathering all the resources and infrastructure to build it. Months of waiting, entrusting in others to do what was needed, and to do it right. Relying on others was something Tregan was not entirely used to, but so far, it had worked out well enough. Standing on the landing platform of the culmination of his, and his organizations work for the past few months, Tregan allowed one of his rare smiles to cross his face.

Haven was the kind of place Tregan would have been found working in as a slave during his youth. Massive, multiple floor wide casinos and bars, gambling dens and private dance chambers. A market large enough to hold thousands of people and their wares. Large warehouses to allow freighters to unload their supplies and store them while they visited all the previously mentioned locations, as well as the living quarters for rent located along the cliff side overlooking the nearby waterfall. All of this of course was merely a front.

The true purpose of Haven was to serve as the new seat of operations for the Twilight Eclipse criminal organization, founded by Tregan and a few other colleagues. The majority of Haven would keep the eyes of questioning figures away from the activites of Twilight Eclipse, while also serving to bring in a steady flow of credits to the organization. It would also serve as a place of relaxation for those members whenever it was needed.

Glancing up, Tregan spotted the first ships heading down from orbit, coming to the grand opening of Haven. Reaching up to straighten the edge of his collar, Tregan began preparing himself to serve as the gracious host. Something he knew he would despise.

Xerek had been with Tregan Mallhane on this route once it came up. They had already made it so far so fast. And yet, compared to the goals of the future, they had barely gone anyway. However, there would be no need to rush themselves into fantasy only to be driven into the ground due to recklessness. They had time, Tregan was a Falleen. he had almost two centuries of life left if he wasn't killed, and Xerek an Anzat she had...well she actually wasn't sure. She knew she could potentially live for centuries but now she was more droid then anything. A brain sitting in a body not her own. Would she live a longer time, or a shorter one? Time would tell.

For now, she had chosen to come stand next to Tregan, walking up behind him having taken the form of a Chiss woman again as she had done when they first attempted to speak with Kay-Larr Kay-Larr . She wasn't really sure what he thought of it. And she'd altered it just slightly. It was close enough one might recognize it, and since she intended to retain the same voice, they should. But it was still a bit different.

Now it was time. There was a ship arriving it seemed. She glanced at Tregan with a smile, "The first steps have already been taken. A long and prosperous future awaits."

Kay had rented out a transport for herself and her bodyguard/date to arrive at the Haven. She still had no ship of her own and given that she wasn't much of a pilot anyways, she didn't have enough to maintain a full time crew either. So a rental it had to be. Besides, the two of them should only be there for a couple of days anyways.

She had her invitation, secured over a budding contract between her tea company and that of Tregan. The two had been working on a new product and although the final stage had yet to be nailed down, there was progress made. Kay chose to take this bit of a break, figuring that she deserved it.

Kay looked over to Gunther after the ramp lowered, linking her arm with his. "Thank you for joining me as my arm candy." She grinned and gave him a wink. No doubt he was pleased with the dress that she chose. She led him down the ramp and eyed the size of Haven. "Hopefully there's no trouble and we could focus on just being in eachother's company."

Haven. The start of a new organization, rooted within the ever growing expansions of crime. Criminals, salvagers, slavers, dealers, mercs and most of all, bounty hunters.

Being tipped off of such a large celebration, Sigma knew to make sure to be one of the first to arrive. All of the potential jobs, bountys, the thrill of it all. Alas that was work. Today was all about partying to the point nothing made sense. So with a bit of help into getting his own invitation, he felt like he deserved a break.

Landing among other ships in his very own stolen transport, the Vong liked to dressed fashionable. In a white custom tailored suit all to his own, the only thing noticeable would be his mask. Still, it worked like a second face, as he smiled with it after walking down the ramp.

"Hellllo Haven."

Amaris hadn't expected to receive an invitation to any type of gathering, especially from a group that would employ her slicing services. She had provided some other services, especially in setting up the town - her mechanic and salvaging skills were superb, after all. A girl couldn't refuse free drinks and food, after all. And it was much easier to be invited than to sneak in like she had that one time...

Still worth it, though. Nonetheless, the slender Felacatian stepped off the transport as she watched the thriving town. It was embedded into a pretty view - rocky mountains covering most of the landscape. She gave a nod at how it turned out.

Heels tapped along the metal landing pad as she walked towards... She panicked for a second, completely forgetting what next to do. As she scrambled to remember, she glanced over and caught Kay-Larr Kay-Larr and Gunther Corek Gunther Corek . Hey, she had seen Kay before! At that other meeting.

Next, she spotted a man with a smiling mask. Interesting. Nonetheless, she gave a little wave to the person she recognized. Hopefully, she could just follow her into the establishment.

When Kay had originally mentioned the idea of going to a party Gunther had been hesitant, if not for the sheer security risk it was what with so many people that he didn't know mulling to and fro. Of course that was until she had model the particular dress she was going to be wearing, that had changed his opinion on it rather quickly. He would just have to be more vigilant.

He of course had worn his armor instead of party clothes, he was still Kay's body guard first and needed to play the part faithfully. As the ramp lowered he slipped his helmet on and rolled his joints to get the stiffness he usually developed from space travel out of them.

His head turned to Kay when he felt her arm link with his, a grin growing under his helmet when she mentioned arm candy. "Please, if I was going to be arm candy I would have foregone the helmet and don't worry about the trouble, I'm more than capable as you've already seen."

Kay could hear the smile in Gunther Corek Gunther Corek 's voice. She remembered him saying that these types of gatherings weren't his favourite. But fortunately for the two of them, they wouldn't be having many to go to. The attendance for this event was purely due to a recent contract.

She had to do her part as a business woman afterall.

"Oh yes, you're quite capable. I couldn't of hired a better man for the job."

She spotted Amaris Tanenat , remembering her from another meeting that Kay was brought to with her daughter, Loreena Arenais-Valhoun Loreena Arenais-Valhoun . Offering a wave in return, she then noticed Mister Sigma . There were bound to be people of all types here, many unsavoury ones as well. Despite having Gunther with her, she decided to not shrink down her Force signature at all, but to keep herself fully aware; just in case.

Merchants of every description hawked their wares in Haven, competing to catch the collective eye of the wealthy and fashionable. One such merchant was an unremarkable spacer with a display table of crystals and minerals. Pijali kohlen, hibridium, unstable Zophis kyber - all sorts of curios from all sorts of prospecting missions. Small enough for a necklace, big enough to fit in a lightsaber or something even stranger. Most of these crystals had just those sorts of useful, special, valuable properties.

[/SPOILER]

Xerek watched as the people began to come in. Unfortunately Tregan Mallhane had to depart for now. It was unfortunate but sometimes things couldn't, or shouldn't, be avoided. So she would be taking his place. Although armed it wasn't heavily so, she actually generally preferred to walk around with minimal weaponry, a habit from when she actually had a body perhaps. She remained disguised as a Chiss woman. A living being inside of a droid body with the appearance of a living being. Such a strange conundrum it was. She noted Kay-Larr Kay-Larr was the first to arrive, one she knew as she was there when they began negotiations. And she had seemed to have brought a friend ( Gunther Corek Gunther Corek ) with her. Or bodyguard. She didn't much care which it was.

She noticed also especially the strange Mister Sigma who she was very much not familiar with, with an extremely strange appearance and mask. But he had come and she would see to it that all here would find themselves perfectly acceptable. She might however have to check and see what it was he was here for, what relations he had with the Twilight Eclipse. So many people, only so much time. Another individual was Amaris Tanenat in a rather revealing dress. Not much for Xerek to reveal, except her brain, and she wasn't going to go around with that out. That reminded her she'd have to be careful to keep to hand shakes, or else they would realize that she was in fact not a Chiss woman, but had the body of a droid.

Another she noticed was Jerec Asyr Jerec Asyr . She didn't have too much to think about for him. There were others, and each that entered she would greet. She wanted to begin by saying hello to those she was familiar with, and then moving on. Before she did that though, as they all got closer she would say a bit louder, a smile on her face, fake though the face itself might be she was definitely not having a bad time, "Welcome all of you, for those that don't know, I am Xerek Ortho. Tregan is away for now so I'll be hosting for you. So please, have fun, relax, and don't steal anything." she said the last part jokingly as she pointed a warning finger at them.

She'd step down then, eventually she'd find a way to try and somewhat discreetly make her way towards Mister Sigma, he was an entire foot taller then her, not that she took much notice other then having to look up, giving a friendly smile while seeming to put her thumbs into her belt
"Hello there, just in case you were a bit busy. I'm Xerek, kind of filling in for the main man at the moment. I'm not familiar with you." she held out her right hand to shake if he so chose. If not she'd simply return it to the belt. It was visibly cybernetic, her way of getting out of people realizing that she was entirely cybernetic. So shaking her hand wouldn't be a surprise when someone thought they'd be shaking flesh but actually was met with metal.
