STANDARD FEATURES
  • HAUL-Hs are outfitted with all the features and facilities one would expect from vessels of their size and purpose, among these:
  • HAUL-Hs are built around a 1200 x 300 x 300-metre cargo section; it can hold up to 1.9 million standard containers on a rotatable 'axle', see the art, one massive fuel tank, or everything in between. The centre of the cargo section is a structural 'spine' that doubles as a maintenance section. This 'spine' can typically be traversed by a tram or golf cart-sized vehicles, but crew often opt to walk to stretch their legs.
    • Cargo manifests can amount to 'four billion Globex-brand T-Shirts' or 'fuel for the seventh fleet', but are often more diverse; it is not at all uncommon for a single HAUL-H to transport fuel, weapons, droids, food, and even livestock as part of the same shipment.
ADVANCED SYSTEMS
  • HAUL-Hs are outfitted with a variety of tried-and-tested cost-saving measures, including systems that recycle waste heat and cosmic radiation into usable energy, internal tractor beams to cut both labour costs and offloading time, space-efficient crew quarters, a bleeding-edge system for the recycling of waste into fuel or even edible biomass, and a Hyperdrive able to squeeze fuel for everything it's worth. The HAUL-H series is, in other words, near-unchallenged when it comes to credits-to-cargo hauled over the medium to long term. Especially for safe hyperlanes.
  • Like the smaller HAUL-R, the HAUL-H series' inbuilt data-brains are inclined to stave off potential boardings by offering standardised ransoms before the vessel is even boarded. That said, the greater volume and by extension value of a HAUL-Hs cargo justifies greater expenditure in securing them - as an example, the destruction of even a single HAUL-H might well be sufficient to justify thermonuclear reprisal.
STRENGTHS & WEAKNESSES
  • Efficient Transit: The HAUL-H series is designed to transport vast amounts of cargo swiftly and efficiently.
  • Defenceless: The HAUL-H series is designed for efficiency, not combat; its civilian-grade hull is easy prey.
DESCRIPTION
The HAUL-H series is a true superfreighter, its monolithic frame able to support nearly two million standard shipping containers - enough to supply an entire planet with all the high-quality Globex-brand T-Shirts they need or move other, lesser products. While such vessels have generally not seen much use in warfare due to their vulnerability, they are sometimes dispatched to transport essential supplies under heavy guard.

A single HAUL-H in a supertanker configuration can provide enough fuel to satisfy an entire fleet for the duration of a mid-length military campaign.
