STRENGTHS

  • Area of effect - a 30° cone out to a range of upto 6m can potentially catch a lot of enemies
  • No hands - small device that can be triggered without needing hands allows both hands hands be used for other purposes
  • Incapacitation - sound pulse is capable of doing a range from shocking the enemy to having them holding their bleeding eardrums on the floor, potentially reducing their ability and will will fight back.
WEAKNESSES
  • Short range - at a maximum optimum range of only around 6m the weapon is useless in a longer range firefight
  • Indiscriminate - unless specifically guarded against the weapon will catch everyone in the cone of effect, allies and non-combatants included.
  • Long recharges - the drawback of using a small device device produce a powerful pulse is that the High discharge capacitors need time to recharge between pulses.
DESCRIPTION
These weapon in a small device, its active part is no bigger than a power cell, but it creates a powerful sonic wave that can stun or incapacitate enemies.

Typically the wearer will activate it while charging into combat, giving them a huge advantage over unprotected enemies with the stunning effect often lasting well after the nosie stops.
