STRENGTHS
  • Lightsaber and Blaster Resistance: Like all things made of Phrik and Echani Graphite, the nervous system is resistant to blaster and lightsaber attacks.
  • The ability to Feel: It's not a true ability to feel, in the sense that it gives emotion, but it's the ability to allow pressure sensitivity, material density, and quantifiable elements of that nature to be transmitted similar to how they are in a living organism.
  • True Muscle Response: Utilization of a nervous system allows actual muscle responses when coupled with the Hardfiber Droid Musculature System. This means faster reactions and smoother movements.
WEAKNESSES
  • Not Proof: The phrik and Echani graphite provide a level of resistance to lightsaber and blaster attacks, but they aren't proof. Repeated strikes from either will damage and eventually destroy them.
  • Acid: Like most metals, the nervous system is susceptible to high strength acids.
DESCRIPTION
The nervous system is comprised of two main components: the spine and the nerves. The spine itself is meant to hold the nerve bundles in place and protect them at the rear of the body from harm that could come from outside the body. In order to achieve this, plates are necessary. Because Echani Graphite is not meant to be shaped into plates, Phrik was chosen as its replacement for this particular portion of the system. These plates are both durable and strong, and because of the overlapping design provide for flexibility and movement that maintains the required protection necessary for the nerve bundles that travel down the inside of the spine.

The nerves themselves are made of silver with an exterior cylindrical casing of Echani graphite that extends the full length of the silver with the exception of at the nerve endings. Nerve endings have less protection, just as they do in a living body, in order to allow them to both absorb information and convey messages from the brain. The graphite provides a level of protection for the nerves that a living beings nerves don't have, and because silver is the best known conductive metal, messages sent from the brain to parts of the body are conveyed much faster than even in a living being. This allows for rapid response times and quick sensational feelings, improving the response of a droid regardless of the situation they might be involved in.

The entire system is designed to work with the other Hardfiber components.

I 5hought about that, but this particular piece of the puzzle doesn't have any electronic parts, its just the wiring. The part that would be affected by EMP would be the brain (to be submitted later).
