Description: The first version of the Hardcell-X was found to be somewhat inadequate in its role, especially since enemies making use of carrier tactics among the Sith made light-sider navies realize that they are vulnerable to the carrier tactics they themselves use; from the Krayiss-class escort frigate, one only needed to make rather minor changes and still get an anti-starfighter frigate, by reducing the complement of turbolasers and replacing those turbolasers by more point-defense weapons, making it a formidable anti-starfighter platform that makes starfighter-based attacks on the ship, and any ship it screens, suicidal. It is better-armed and better-armored than its predecessor, with that version of the Hardcell-X also possessing an anti-concussion field that helps maintain its hull integrity. As with the Krayiss, there was little room left for crew onboard, so boarding parties raiding a Hardcell-X will likely find it rather easy to capture.
