[SIZE=9pt]While the ship production teams were busy, Aurora Industries’s droid division had begun working on a brand new droid design that was considered by them to be a much upgraded version of the old YVH-1 and YVH-2 droids that had been in use. Designated Project Manticor, the teams worked tirelessly to develop something the company could be proud of … and would be an absolute terror against enemies.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=9pt]The result of the project was the Harbinger War Droid, a behemoth of droid in terms of power and armor. Using phrik that was left in storage following Aurora’s movement out of Sith space, the armor plating of the droid is developed with phrik, eschewing the original laminanium of the YVH series of droids, while the skeleton of the droid is made of a turadium alloy to give it maximum durability against most conventional weapons.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=9pt]The weapon systems are where the droid truly shines though, sporting a heavy blaster cannon mounted on the right arm, a Verpine style shatter rifle mounted on the left, a scatter gun in a compartment concealed on its left hip, a .5 meter virbosword embedded within the droid’s right hand for close quarters combat, an electroray discharger within its left hand, a concealed grenade launcher in the left elbow with a two grenade magazine, and a baradium charge within its torso in case it needs to activate its self-destruct protocol.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=9pt]The droid also comes equipped with advanced servos within its joints to give it additional strength, photoreceptors that contain various vision modes. It also comes with a preloaded vocoder package with various taunts for use against enemies to gain a psychological edge over them.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=9pt]The droid is not without its weaknesses though. Like all droids, it is vulnerable to EMP, ion, and some sonic weaponry as it damages the circuits within. The droid is also rather slow and heavy, meaning it won’t be chasing down any targets and it can have some difficulty in maneuvering in tight spaces. The droid can also be vulnerable to enemy hackers if there are any in the vicinity that can uplink with the droid’s brain.[/SIZE]
