Now that we’re on break I’d like to leave you with some final thoughts for the factory. These final thoughts are something I want each and every one of you to look at and realize that every single one of your are guilty of doing the following:
In case some of the definitions aren’t clear I’ll list them just to make sure we’re all on the same page.
I don’t like messages like this especially because they reflect so negatively on a group of people that I will always stick my neck out for. I’ll always back you up with members, unless you are being over critical, playing favorites, and/or blackballing a member. When it comes to that I have to think of the Member and take their side as an Admin of the board. I told you guys on the first day that I was named Admin, I got your backs I’ll make sure that you’re not harassed by the members. You’re volunteers, but I can’t have members feeling harassed themselves.
I want us to move past this in a positive manner, I was really upset when I got this but as I write this I’ve calmed down and realized that this is a learning point for us. Most of you are new to the factory staff - I’ve re-hired some old timers to help out. I want you new guys to really see how they do things how they judge. Ask questions, but don’t be little or second guess their judgements. Ask questions to learn, ask questions to discuss and become better with your knowledge. You guys have done amazing so far especially with the extreme changes Tefka had implemented. I want us to keep improving. I thought of a couple of points to help us keep consistent and to avoid members from feeling harassed and general points we need to remember.

Favoritism: the practice of giving unfair preferential treatment to one person or group at the expense of another.
Over Critical: inclined to find fault too readily
Blackball: To exclude someone from a group, profession, etc; ostracize
Tonight I received a message from a member who has been fairly active in the Factory. They explained to me how they were feeling about the factory and that they felt harassed. Their message was as followed:
Hey Justine. After reviewing a bunch of the recent very technical and dangerous subs that have been approved without Dev threads, I'm going to respectfully request the judges seriously back off on my subs.
I don't mean to be rude, and although I am the slightest bit offended at the blatant favoritism shown in some of the subs, I'm not requesting any changes in decisions for my equipment. Despite the horrific inequality being displayed by the judges.
However I would like my sub's to be treated like everyone else's in the future if this is not to much to ask, please.

If something’s unclear ask for it to be cleared up - make sure its also edited into the submission
Treat every submission as if the writer has never submitted something before.
Understand that people’s understandings of things are different.
Research or ask a Judge/Admin/RPJ about the submission if there’s something you do not know about.
Take every submission as a learning experience for yourself and the writer.
Avoid conflict, the writer starts to argue tag me.
Remember that this is about something we love to do, if you didn’t love the ability of creating something in a universe that you love - you wouldn't be here.
Make sure that this remains fun for you and the writer.
Take a step back, you’re dealing with too much let me know.
