A COMMONWEALTH ENTERPRISE
CONSUMER GOODS • STRATEGIC HOLDINGS • RESPONSIBLE ENTERPRISE
CORPORATE OVERVIEW
A family enterprise. A Commonwealth institution.
Halscott Conglomerate, commonly known as HC, is a privately held, diversified commercial group founded by Mattias Halscott and presently owned by his nephew, Gavyn Vancil Jr. Headquartered on Dosuun, the conglomerate maintains interests in consumer goods, retail, and the wider businesses that support everyday life throughout the Imperial Commonwealth.
Its most recognizable and significant business is Trader Queenie's, a premium retailer bringing groceries, household goods, decor, practical tools, gardening supplies, pet care, and other daily necessities together under one roof. The strength of that brand reflects HC's broader outlook: scale should make quality more accessible, not make communities interchangeable.
Halscott companies are expected to operate with a long view. Durable goods, responsible sourcing, environmental stewardship, dependable supply, and meaningful local partnerships are treated as part of the business rather than decorative promises attached to it.

Familiar brand standards are maintained across the network without imposing identical stores upon different worlds.
OPERATING COMPANIES
---
| TRADER QUEENIE'S PREMIUM RETAIL & EVERYDAY LIVING | HC's flagship and most recognizable company, combining premium groceries, prepared foods, home goods, décor, tools, gardening, pet supplies, and everyday necessities under one roof. Each location maintains Queenie's standards while adapting its products, architecture, and character to the community it serves. |
| HALSCOTT PROVISIONS FOOD & SPECIALTY GOODS | Food production, preservation, processing, and specialty goods ranging from pantry staples and preserves to prepared ingredients and selected agricultural products. Halscott Provisions supplies Queenie's extensively while maintaining independent wholesale and commercial distribution. |
| DR. DAPPER BEVERAGES & REFRESHMENTS | A venerable beverage company best known for its distinctive signature spiced soft drink and the slightly eccentric personality surrounding the Dr. Dapper brand. Its wider range includes sodas, flavored waters, mixers, seasonal offerings, and regional recipes tailored to different Commonwealth markets. |
| MORROW HOUSE HOME & INTERIORS | A premium home-and-living company producing furniture, cookware, ceramics, linens, storage, lighting, and decorative goods built around durability and understated elegance. Morrow House products are widely sold through Queenie's alongside its own boutiques and showrooms. |
| FARROW & FORGE TOOLS, HARDWARE & EQUIPMENT | HC's practical-goods company specializing in dependable tools, hardware, workshop equipment, gardening implements, fixtures, and small machinery. Products emphasize longevity, repairability, and genuine utility rather than planned replacement. |
| WAYLINE LOGISTICS FREIGHT & DISTRIBUTION | The conglomerate's commercial freight, warehousing, cold-chain, and distribution network, connecting producers with HC businesses and outside customers alike. Wayline makes Queenie's extensive local-sourcing model possible without sacrificing dependable supply between worlds. |
| ASTERFIELD SYSTEMS AGRICULTURE & ENVIRONMENTAL SYSTEMS | Develops hydroponics, controlled-environment agriculture, irrigation, water reclamation, soil restoration, and other technologies supporting sustainable food production. Asterfield frequently works with independent growers rather than replacing them, helping strengthen local agricultural markets. |
| KINDRED COMPANION COMPANION ANIMAL GOODS | Produces premium foods, habitats, grooming products, toys, accessories, and specialist equipment for the diverse companion animals kept throughout Commonwealth space. Kindred is a major supplier to Queenie's Pets while maintaining its own specialist retail and distribution presence. |
| HALSCOTT CIRCULAR RECOVERY & CIRCULAR MATERIALS | Handles materials recovery, reusable packaging, refurbishment, recycling, and circular manufacturing across the Halscott portfolio. Its infrastructure allows HC companies to recover useful materials and keep containers, products, and components in service for substantially longer periods. |
| HALSCOTT PLACES PROPERTY & COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT | Develops and manages retail properties, mixed-use commercial spaces, distribution facilities, and other HC real estate. Projects are designed around local architecture, climate, transit, ecology, and community needs rather than imposing a standardized corporate footprint. |
A SHARED STANDARD, NOT A SHARED TEMPLATE.
Halscott companies operate independently within their specialties while sharing expectations of quality, sustainability, durability, and responsiveness to local markets. Trader Queenie's remains the group's flagship, but HC's subsidiaries serve customers and businesses far beyond Queenie's own retail network.
OPERATING MANDATE
BUILD • SUPPLY • SERVE
HC acquires, develops, and administers businesses with an emphasis on goods and services that remain useful beyond a single season or market cycle. Investment may expand an existing operation, establish a new commercial venture, strengthen distribution, or bring complementary expertise into the group.
The conglomerate is not intended to function as a collection of interchangeable labels. Its businesses may share resources, purchasing capabilities, and infrastructure while retaining their own identities, specialties, and relationships with customers.
Trader Queenie's illustrates that approach. Its broad buying power and dependable standards support a highly recognizable brand, yet its stores are given room to answer to the places they actually serve.
OPERATING PHILOSOPHY
The same commitment. Never the same store.
A Queenie's on one world should feel unmistakably like Queenie's, but it should also feel as though it belongs there. Local architecture, regional foodways, native plant life, companion animals, climate, artisans, and household needs all inform a location's design and selection.
STEWARDSHIP & SUSTAINABILITY
QUALITY THAT LASTS. RESPONSIBILITY THAT SHOWS.
Environmental responsibility is a group-wide operating expectation. HC favors efficient facilities, durable and repairable goods, renewable or lower-impact energy where practical, and sourcing arrangements that reduce avoidable waste without sacrificing product quality or reliability.
For Trader Queenie's, that commitment can be seen in regional sourcing, reusable shopping and transport materials, refill and recovery programs, responsible packaging, and store designs suited to their local environments. Imported goods remain an important part of interstellar commerce, but unnecessary transport and waste are not treated as inevitable costs of doing business.
TRADER QUEENIE'S / LOCAL MARKET COLLECTION
Made Here. Loved Everywhere.
A dedicated place for regional growers, makers, and craftspeople, presented as an integral part of the store rather than an afterthought. The goal is to celebrate what a community already does well while giving smaller producers access to the reach of a larger retailer.
STRATEGY
HC's size gives its businesses a means to do what many independent operators cannot easily accomplish alone: coordinate freight, maintain product standards, develop efficient facilities, and absorb the cost of long-term improvements. Those advantages are meant to support local enterprise rather than erase it.
The group therefore looks at a potential investment in the context of the wider portfolio. A new producer may broaden Queenie's regional selection. A capable distributor may improve access to remote communities. A practical household product may become more useful when its repair parts, servicing, and replacement materials are available through the same retail network.
Businesses are evaluated not only by their immediate returns, but by the quality, resilience, and lasting usefulness they bring to the whole.
HALSCOTT OPERATING PRINCIPLE
"Many worlds. Distinct communities. One commitment to quality."
FOUNDATION
Mattias Halscott founded the enterprise that would become Halscott Conglomerate with a conviction that a business could be substantial in reach without becoming detached from the people it served. Over time, the family's commercial interests developed into a diversified group, with Trader Queenie's emerging as its most familiar name.
The retailer succeeded because it treated the practical business of living as something worth doing well. Fresh food, a dependable household tool, the right pet supplies, a piece of locally made furniture, or an ordinary item that would survive years of use could all belong in the same store, provided each met the standard expected of it.
Under Gavyn Vancil Jr., Mattias's nephew and the conglomerate's present owner, that standard remains central to HC's identity. The company is large enough to operate across different markets, but each location is expected to reflect its community's own character and needs.
This is most visible at Trader Queenie's. The colors and emblem are familiar; the products, people, and places are not reduced to a single formula. A customer should recognize the store immediately and still be able to discover something unique to the world outside its doors.
FAMILY & CORPORATE DISTINCTION
The Halscott and Yvarro families also have ties to Primo Victorian Enterprises, the separately led business headed by Ryssa Yvarro and managed by Josephine Halscott. This family relationship does not, by itself, place Primo Victorian within HC's portfolio.
HC's legacy is not simply the number of enterprises held in its name. It is the expectation that each one should continue to earn the trust of the communities in which it operates.
