I had thought about them as well. I was really thinking hard about that between the two species, but because of his limited force powers, I wanted some form of defence to him in the force, and one that could simply be done without adding another force power, and as such, Epicthanix fit the bill better. Thank you for the thoughts!
And as a Morellian he would be more suited to a Cop than a Smuggler. and I wanted a Smuggler esq sort of person with a background that could be looked into at a later date. Hence why it was a Mandalorian Epicthanix family. (A wealthy one at that) In my characters I like to leave open spots for many things to happen. and this is one of them.
