DESCRIPTION

Initially a shell corporation to wash credits and legitimately sell ill-gotten goods, the profits of piracy turned the holding company into a working business with actual employees and an office on Coruscant. The company serves not only to launder funds, but also to covertly purchase anything needed by discerning clients, quietly and efficiently, catering to those for whom price is no impediment. With wealth came danger, and so the company invested heavily in security with what amounts to a private army and navy to protect its interests as it grew in size and profit.

RATIONALE

The company was founded as a prank by Chamdar's pirate crew, many years back, when he had first joked about leaving the life behind. The 'retirement fund' with the silly name, had eventually grown well beyond the wildest needs and dreams of the Hutt and his crew, enough for them all to live out several lifetimes of luxury with room to spare. Protecting their wealth became important to those that survived, and the company expanded with a legitimate office, all to ensure the legality of the operation, which even paid taxes. Heavy investment into security allowed the company to take protection contracts few others could handle, and the success of early contracts to quietly produce semi-legal weapons or even clone forces allowed the company to expand further, and strengthen its hand with weapons, troops and star cruisers. In time, Chamdar bought out his partners, and came to own the company outright, utilizing it as a private bank, and a vehicle to further his ambitions.
