Development Thread: None
Manufacturer: Abrogation Inc.
Model: H-1
Affiliation: Horror
Modularity: May be underslung
Production: Limited (2)

Description: The H-1 Charon Carbine utilizes much of the same functions and technologies of the FWG-5 Flechette Pistol. The only thing keeping this from being simply a carbine version of the pistol is that instead of the single-fire heat blasts it's source material shoots, it may alternatively fire a shotgun-like spray of up to 10 heat blasts up to 40.2 meters in front of it. Each of these heat blasts pack as much a punch as a bolt from heavy blaster pistol and they combine to create stopping power capable of punching through durasteel plates at point-blank range.

The downside is that because of it's size increase, the carbine is now much less concealable and despite the size increase, it does not shoot any further than it's pistol counterpart. The heat blasts have also been cut to 40.2 meters to allow for more power.
Classification: Carbine
Size: Two-Handed
Status: Illegal
Length: 60.69 cm
Weight: 3 kg
Ammunition Type: Flechette Pellets/ Power Pac
Ammunition Capacity: 16 Pellets or 6 Heat Blast Rounds
Effective Range: 50 Meters

This weapon cannot cause character death without writer consent.

62 heat blasts, but it takes two to over heat this? Unless if it takes multiple shots for an effective heat blast then I'd say change this.

(Also I need a picture, ignore this if you already do, my internet is slow so it isn't showing up for me.)

"It may alternatively fire close range (up to 6 meters) blasts of concussive heat energy that can punch through durasteel point blank."

Could you define this, does it mean that it effectively works at 6 meters but works the best at point blank? or it works the same no matter the distance between 6 meters and point blank?

@ me when your done

My apologies for the wait. I was on vacation. Time to work out the backlog.

I have several questions about this one that I'd very much like elaboration on. This is a dangerous weapon to put in the hands of a PC, and I don't feel comfortable approving it without getting some things zeroed in.

- How long does it have to wait between shots to prevent overheating?
- How much "concussive force" does it carry? I don't take science too seriously in SW, so I don't really care how a wave of heat manages to create concussive force, but I do want to know how much.
- How does the heat blast fare against materials heavier than durasteel? What's the extent of the damage done to durasteel?

Also, I'd like you to add a note to the effect of "This weapon cannot cause character death without writer consent." This is a tag we put on every disruptor-type weapon, due to the extreme power of those weapons. It's a reminder to whoever uses them that the tech, no matter its power, is not an instant win button.

A durasteel bunker is much heavier than durasteel armor. By changing to building-scale, this weapon just became much more powerful than I would consider approvable. Are you sure you want it to damage armored fortresses rather than armored infantry?

You also took out the cooldown period rather than expanding on it, which makes this a building-scale weapon that can be used on a semi-automatic setting. Again, not approvable. I urge you to dial it back.
