STANDARD FEATURES

ADVANCED SYSTEMS

Strengths:
  • Exceptionally Fast: With highly advanced engines and a sophisticated hyperdrive, the Gust-class's primary selling point is its ability to get its owners where they want to go, faster than almost any other shuttle on the open market.
  • Comfortable: With a sleek internal design, all the necessary amenities, and a by default spacious interior, VCH has gone the extra mile to ensure that its costumers not only get where they want to go but enjoy the trip while doing so.
  • Internal Customisation: While VCH does not typically modify the exterior and hardware of these vessels, the interior can be constructed with multiple possible layouts; the vessel is not, however, particularly modular, as such modifications are made during the production of any given vessel.

Weaknesses:
  • Civilian: Possessing no offensive capabilities whatsoever and only average defences, the shuttle is utterly useless in a combat scenario.
  • Manoeuvrability: While exceptionally fast, its low manoeuvrability means that it is unlikely to be able to shake pursuers that can keep up with it.

Description:
Shuttles. The galaxy was filled with shuttles. Everyone and their mother had made a shuttle. It simply would not do for the first mass-produced starship developed and produced by Vandiir Consolidated Holdings to be just another shuttle, or so the Board of Directors told its engineers.

Everything about the Gust-class is designed to impress: From the comfortable interior to the exceptional engines, and finally the military-grade hyperdrive. The shuttle is intended to provide a specialised product to allow the upper classes to get where they want to go, when they want to go, all the way enjoying the utmost comfort. While entirely deprived of armaments and with defences that are nothing special, the shuttle's superior speed will generally be enough to outrun most aggressors, though interceptors are a particularly dangerous threat to the fast but poorly manoeuvrable ship.

Designed for the open market, the Gust-class, like many VCH vessels, nonetheless has a large amount of potential when it comes to internal customisation, though the lack of post-production modularity means that this is largely restricted to popular setups and customers willing to cough up the credits for a custom order. (OOC: Not to be confused with a true custom order, in that the specifications listed above would be the same.)
