Personality: Terse and often silent, Guratha is rarely in a good mood. Like most Hutts, has a paranoid streak and rarely places his trust in any one.

Strengths:
- Wits – Guratha has survived many an assassination by out-manuvering his would-be killer. He can easily tell when he is being lured into a trap and is adept at negotiating.
- Fast (for a slug) – Guratha can move much fast then most Hutts, due to his low weight and thin frame.
- Non-combatant – Guratha does not know how to use a weapon and relies on others to protect him.
- Medication – Guratha suffers from a gastrointestinal disease and must take medication to survive.
Guratha was born on Nal Hutta. At an early age of 10 years, Guratha and his family discovered that the young Hutt suffered from a wasting sickness that prevented him from putting on weight. Eating excessively made the Hutt sick and so he remained small for the majority of his childhood.
At the age of 70, Guratha left Nal Hutta. He was ostracized by the other Hutts, who found his low weight repulsive. The Hutt settled on Nar Shaddaa, where he organized small-time gangs and started a smuggling empire.
At the age of 189, Guratha was a major player on Nar Shaddaa. The Hutt gained fame from his ability to settle gang disputes and a tactical ruthlessness that always left him on top. His operations expanded off-world when Guratha cooperated with the Sith Empire, offering tributes in return for overlooking several illegal operations.
Presently Guratha coordinates a large smuggling ring based out of Nar Shaddaa. It is rumored that there is no item the Hutt cannot precure, for the right price.
