RATIONALE

Brae had seen the anarchy that plagued world after world, and so when she saw an opportunity to both make money and to solve this, she pounced on the opportunity. With the rapid expansion of APEX Technologies, Brae pulled out a large sum of money to found APEX's first Subsidiary, Guardian Inc. which would serve as a mercenary police force and elite strike teams against criminals, pirates, and rebels across the galaxy. After a successful deal with the Galactic Empire to gain access to their cloning facilities on Kamino, a new breed of police, efficient, logical, and always follow the laws they are bound to according to what planet or nation they are in.

So, Brae headed to Coruscant, the center of galactic trade and used APEX Technologies economic power to purchase a base of operations and hire a puppet CEO, who would run the corporation in Brae's absence. This CEO, Lynette Black was an old friend of Brae's when she served as a mercenary before returning to the Ascendancy. She was an Operator, someone who could hook up potential employers to Mercenaries they could hire, and she was extraordinarily good at her job. So Lynette took control and officially began Guardian Incorporated.
