Description: Designed as the successor to the aged Crusader-class, the main picket and patrol ship for the Mandalorians, the ship follows one of the two great ideological schools of combat; be fast and kill fast. To that, and for its primary targets of starfighters, bombers, and freighters, the ship is equipped with a number of anti-starfighter batteries offering minimal coverage from all attack angles, and optimal coverage from port and starboard.

In the event the ship is forced to tackle larger ships, its options are much more limited. Its only capital-ship grade weapons are two Heavy Ion cannons. In order for such powerful ion cannons to be packed onto the ship, all power must be diverted from the anti-starfighter turrets, and shields and engines are reduced to half-power, or less, during their operation. Due to the great risk involved in their use, most ships only employ them from the safety of the fleet formation
