TECHNICAL INFORMATION

  • Weight: 95 kg
  • Height: 0.15 Meters
  • Movement: Repulsorlift
  • Armaments: Standard Blaster
  • Misc. Equipment: Direct Remote Control Link
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Direct Remote Control Link: For droids of a certain intelligence level, the Guardian-C can be directly linked to their own systems through a secure short-range channel. Through this, the droid is capable of perceiving events through the eyes of the Guardian-C and control the Guardian-C as if it were part of the droid's own body.
Strengths:
  • Energy Resistant: Due to its ultrachrome plating, Guardian-C boasts being more resilient against blaster fire than most other droids, though two standard blasts in quick succession is enough to completely destroy this plating.
Weaknesses:
  • Lacking Horsepower: Due to its small size and repulsorlift movement, this small remote isn't good at resisting forces. A net would easily cripple its ability to move, making it an easy target.
DESCRIPTION
Guardian-C was created by Clanker from some salvaged material from ships and standard Marksman-H remotes he bought, equipping them with lethal blasters and an ultrachrome plating which, while thin to conserve maneuverability and resources, would serve his purposes well. Their main function in combat is to perform flanks that are too dangerous or unrealistic for their user to do themself and scout areas from birdseye view. By connecting it to the user-droid's interface, the Guardian-C is able to react according to the user's own logic and perform more nuanced strategy than a typical remote would be capable of just by following orders. Due to wanting to prevent its network from being hacked away from the user, the Guardian-C opts for a short-ranged link that can stretch no more than 30 meters, but is highly secure from external interference. As with any droid of its class, simple obstacles cannot be powered through and it lacks the physical strength to resist restraints or move objects of significant size (such as people). A droid with an advanced intelligence module of sorts would be able to properly control up to 2 Guardian-C remotes at once, but after some integration/experience of the Direct Remote Control Link module this limit may increase to 3 Guardian-C remotes at once.
