Starlight Cruiseline is meant to be a bit of an operational "sister branch" to Guardian Angel Outreach. The cruise ship offers jobs and housing to those who need it as well as good pay and skills. It also provides a "life experience" and a chance to see the stars. The profit margins have a specific percentage dispersed to said outreach to provide resources for charitable programs, relying less and less on donations.
RATIONALE
Caltin Vanagor
and Liram Angellus are partners in the parent companies, Vanagor and Angellus are pretty much "hands-off" for the most part as they have outside responsibilities. The Outreach was created for the need to make good to a broken galaxy, to purely "right back what is wrong". There are no profitable aspects, but ways to keep the company going and community service. This was created as a way for people to not only help the community but to show the Jedi what they were and could be again. It is run overall by a redeemed Sith Chrysa Vanagor who has given up her title and everything that she once was to join her husband in this venture.
