SPECIAL FEATURES
STRENGTHS
  • Legacy Upgrade
The GSI Integrator Module & Patch Suite is a robust solution to the age-old problem of technological breakthroughs quickly becoming obsolete with the passage of time. Its advanced chipset is designed to provide constant patch upgrades, as well as prevent software degradation within other GDI and GDI-connected components - be they engineering, offensive, defensive, or other software systems. It is also very easy to install after-market, requiring minimal disassembly/reassembly of existing infrastructure.
  • Third Party Integration
A universal problem experienced across The Galaxy’s major manufacturers is that of compatibility issues between third party systems and hardware due to differences - however major or small - between programming languages and proprietary topology. Where GDI products are concerned, the GSI Integrator Module streamlines such third party integration; serving as a “translator” between GDI’s proprietary systems and the common divergences and evolutions across other programming languages. The result is a very straightforward and easy integration process.
  • Stability Enhancer
While the GSI Integrator Module & Patch Suite’s primary & secondary functions revolve around streamlining updates and simplifying third party integration, a tertiary benefit is that it strengthens the overall synergy of GDI’s system framework. Command execution response times become drastically quicker, and the entire system becomes more stable overall; reducing outages, bugs, and glitches.
WEAKNESSES
  • Not an Overhaul
While the GSI Integrator Module & Patch Suite is beneficial in many ways, what it cannot do is completely change the nature of the systems it is working with. Example; It cannot make a gun fire quicker or more powerfully. Instead, it simply reduces any glitches or delays one might experience in the giving of that command to fire, and eases potential power inefficiencies due to natural incompatibilities between software suites. Simply put, it supports the innate qualities of other systems; it does not improve them beyond their design.
  • System Critical
Given the benefits this module & patch suite provides, utilization appears to be a no-brainer. However, one should keep in mind that while it’s easy to install and implement this system - it is not easy to remove or uninstall it. Since it’s designed to meld into the framework of other systems, and facilitate communication between third party devices; improper removal of its patches can result in the corruption of the host software, and in cross-system dysfunction. Common side effects include merely uninstalling drivers and reinstalling based on factory defaults, which can happen automatically. Yet rarer, but far more severe repercussions include totally “bricking” the host device; or rendering it completely inoperable, and thus requiring factory assistance. It is because of this that GDI includes the warning: “DO NOT REMOVE AFTER INSTALLATION WITHOUT GDI ASSISTANCE.”
  • Proprietary
Considering how easy the GSI Integrator Module & Patch suite makes the life of system installers and integrators, one may be tempted to simply use this system for integrating non-GDI systems with each other. However, doing so is not supported by the manufacturer. Yes, the module is designed to integrate third party systems; but integrate with a GDI system specifically, designating the GDI software architecture as its host to latch onto. Without a GDI system to serve as its host, the module does not know what to do, or where to setup its patch directories within. The result is a very useless and expensive piece of hardware, unless someone wants to completely rework it for their own uses - which would require an inordinate amount of time, resources, and would also invalidate the manufacturer warranty.
DESCRIPTION

Are you tired of having to manually and painstakingly integrate two incompatible systems together? Or what about having to manually upgrade the firmware of devices due to performance glitches? If that describes you, then the GSI Integrator Module & Patch Suite might be the solution you are looking for!

Perfectly marrying an intricate chipset around a laminanium superconducting core, along with hardened optical fiber circuits and advanced programming - the GSI Integrator Module & Patch Suite is GDI’s robust offering to streamline the integration and updating of both GDI and third party systems*, all while making it so easy - you might wonder if you’re even working! But that’s not all! It’ll make your work days after install much easier too, reducing the stress behind routine maintenance exponentially.
