PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS
Grym carries himself with a steady, composed confidence, but not the kind that demands silence or fear. Though he still speaks sparingly, his words are thoughtful, not harsh. He generally holds a calm voice that can cut through chaos with reassurance or clarity. He’s the type who listens intently, speaks when it counts, and lets his presence provide comfort, not intimidation.
Around strangers or enemies, Grym remains alert and professional. His calm nature still makes him hard to read. But among clanmates, comrades, or those he respects, he shows a soft, dry wit and a quiet willingness to lend an ear or offer insight. He’s not emotionally guarded. Grym believes in showing strength through stillness rather than boast or bluster. In combat, Grym attempts to be tactful and brutal while maintaining control over his emotions.

HISTORY
Like many of his ilk, Grym Lok was born and bred a Mandalorian. The son of seasoned supercommandos, he was raised in the harsh mold of survival and discipline. His early years were spent traversing dangerous worlds, where combat, tracking, and tactical awareness were as vital as air. Grym excelled at everything he was taught, but rarely showed it. Enthusiasm was a currency his parents did not value. In their eyes, training was a sacred duty, not a place for praise or joy. Any sign of excitement was met with cold rebuke, and so Grym learned to master his emotions as well as his weapons.
His budding Force sensitivity, however, proved a disruptive presence. It confused him, at times overwhelmed him, and often made him feel isolated. Only under the watchful guidance of the clan’s shaman did he learn to temper its influence. While the Force remained an enigma, he eventually learned to wield it—not as a gift, but as another tool for survival.
At the age of seventeen, he was cast into the wider galaxy to forge his own path, as was Mandalorian custom. He quickly fell into work as a bounty hunter, contracting with the Hutt Cartels and other shadowed syndicates. It was a brutal sphere of influence. It was one built on credits, betrayal, and survival. But, Grym maintained a personal code, however strict or narrow it seemed to others. He chose to be an honorable hunter, preferring clean contracts and minimizing needless collateral. This code set him apart and limited his options.
After a few years of solitary work, Grym encountered an estranged wandering sect of Clan Lok separate from the enclave of his upbringing. They welcomed him without hesitation, recognizing not only his lineage but his discipline and capability. Joining their warband, Grym expanded his skillset. Now, he had become a reliable pilot and still taking bounty contracts when needed, though now always with the backing of kin.
When the Mandalorian Empire rose anew, Grym followed his clan as they chose to follow the Mand’alor the Iron . Clan Lok prioritized unity and service, forming an official company to support the empire’s needs. Grym found purpose in this. The idea of serving both his people and the greater cause. No longer just a hunter in the shadows, he became something more: a blade in service to Mandalore, sharpened by silence and bound by unshakable resolve.
