STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
Grigory Tallis as an officer is what could be described as a 'thinking mans rancor'. He is brash. He is crude. He is offensive. He is aggressive. And yet, eloquent. In both tactics and his demeanour to his men. This often means that Tallis can seem to be little more than off-putting to the men under his command. His willingness to rush to action and charge the enemy is an issue, particularly as he enjoys personally leading such actions, often times being the first man into a barrage of fire. And it's this sort of attitude, coupled with the fact that as an officer inspite of his outward appearances that he cherishes his subordinates makes him an unfortunately irrational combatant. One of his fellow partisans from his time on Varonat described him as 'A sith in all but saber and power'. Raw, emotional and with an unending devotion to those under his charge.

APPEARANCE:
Grigory Anadrova Tallis is a man who stands at attention and his body language rigid. Tallis enjoys domineering and leering over his subordinates, using long strides to make sure they struggle keeping up with him. His face is always contorted into that of a disconcerting snarl or grimace. Physically speaking, Tallis is in excellent health. His body, taut with muscle from years of working in the field, although there are signs of his age. His wrinkled face. The greying of the playboys once boyish features.

BIOGRAPHY:
Grigory Anadrova Tallis was born into a life of luxury and into the Tallis family. The son of Aleksandarov Tallis, clan patriarch and Svetlana Tallis. The Tallis’ at this point were clan of wealthy industrialists and cosmopolitans who made a fortune manufacturing arms from their home on Byss. Historically the Talli’s began manufacturing for independent contractors and militias and then licensing producing for the One Sith. The Tallis family would continue to profit off of this until the schisms between the One Sith which saw as an effect, many of their arms plants destroyed in combat. The Tallis’ made the move then to First Order space, with their youngest son Grigory in tow. They expended a great deal of their wealth trying to rebuild their lavish Coruscant penthouse on Dosuun, in the luxury of a mansion but found the rigidity of a meritocracy a startling shock to their previous sensibilities.

Grigory, now a teenager had been hoping to immediately follow his fathers footsteps as that of a decadent playboy who sauntered around the Deep Core on a luxury yacht . Unfortunately, he was confined to Dosuun, and without much of the clans wealth began to study engineering. Specifically, that of starships. He was hoping to be able to break into the Primo-Victoria shipyards, but unfortunately that was cut short by the first First Order-Galactic Alliance War. As now a naturalised citizen, Grigory was mobilised in spite of his fathers attempted bribery, and Grigory served in the First Order Planetary Defence Force, as a combat engineer.

Despite being a pampered university student, Grigory settled into the work of soldiering quite well. His ability to craft wordy insults to the detriment of superior officers grew him a following and rapport amongst colleagues. It was this sort of life, the close living, the camaraderie and novelty that drew Grigory into army life permanently. He abandoned his degree and decided to soldier full time. And in spite of some cases of insubordination and disciplinary hearings regarding the smuggling of contraband beverages into barracks, Grigory saw himself rise through the ranks to sergeant. His promotion was aided by his service during the Ison Corridor attack lead by the Galactic Alliance, a sector wide assault on the First Order’s industrial heartland. Stationed on Cloud City, Grigory exemplified due diligence during the city’s evacuation after an attack upon it.

During the interwar period, he was transferred to Varonat, an important naval post, where while off duty, he met his first love. Real love. Not fling, or one night stand worthy, but a woman to steal his soul. Katyusha Kochanski or JL-4542, a TIE fighter pilot. Their attraction developed as an on-base romance, but soon blossomed into full on adoration after the declaration of war by the First Order unto the Galactic Alliance. Grigory proposed, and then served during the battle of Varonat was over. Sensing this would be a finality to his career, and wanting to be a father who could provide, Grigory froze his enlistment and returned to university while Katyusha was with child. Grigory was recruited by the First Order Security Bureau into the Werewolf program, training civilian fanatics into guerillas. Grigory did this while also balancing life as a father for his darling Svetlana, his daughter. Unfortunately, Grigory’s time as a father would not last long.

Varonat was one of the first systems to be attacked by the Ssi-Ruuvi Imperium. The small naval fleet in orbit, incapable of defending against an onslaught of saurian invaders. Katyusha Tallis perished in the first wave of defenders launching to fight back against the invaders, leaving Grigory with a small child in hand to try and activate the protocol for Werewolf partisans to rise up. His attempts were marginal. The Werewolves and local First Order garrison managed to blunt the Ssi-Ruuk in bloody fighting for weeks on end. The First Order forces would repeatedly request assistance, hailing anyone, Sith, Jedi, anyone to assist, only for them to be ignored. Resistance was eventually shattered and the remnants of the First Order’s forces fled to the jungles. There, they hid, subjected to relentless rain and gas attacks. The four year old Svetlana choked on her lungs after particularly bad exposure.

Having lost his family, seen many of his comrades die and feeling abandoned, rage consumed Grigory Tallis as he waged war against the Ssi-Ruuvi for the next three years. None were given quarter. The campaign of violence ended when a scout vessel for the Outer Planets Alliance docked in the ruins of a Ssi-Ruuk fuelling station. The guerillas cautiously came from out of the jungle and were provided aid, before debrief and transport. Grigory took his leave, and left the world where his family had met its end, and set for Sith Empire space. There he was hoping to find his parents, but found nothing. There was a wretchedness which drove him. He felt a great bitterness toward the Sith Empire and its leadership for having, in his mind, abandoned a loyal ally. Nevertheless he did sign up with the Sith and found himself in a junior position drilling grunts, and it is there he felt a spark. Something that drove him. Something beyond the grief. Camaraderie. And why should the camaraderie between a man and his troops be subject to the whims of decadent force users?

Grigory’s answer. Violence. Violence and insurrection against the deceitful and dishonest Sith. And it is with that creed instilled within himself, that he embarked and signed on with the rebels of the New Imperial Order. Hoping to build a new kind of family in the one he had lost.

SHIP: Do I look like a pilot to you?

KILLS: I will make them suffer.

BOUNTIES COLLECTED: Do I look like the sort of scum to hunt for pennies on the pound? Bounties are below me.
