STRENGTHS
  • The Best Defence Is A Good Offence - The weapon upgrades Drazhar installed on the Stricken are extensive indeed, ensuring it is ready for any situation or any prey it sets its sights on.
  • Drawn To Grief- The formidable Interdiction Projector allows the Stricken to pull ships straight out of hyperspace, ready to face the firepower of the pirate ship. Ships with advanced enough countermeasure systems may be able to avoid this manoeuvre of course, but for the regular meal a pirate likes to feast on it is a terror-inducing moment. An unexpected weapon in combat, it can also be used to confuse the enemy and allow the Stricken to gain the upper hand.
  • Speed & Agility - For a ship of its class, the Stricken is exceptionally fast and almost as impressively agile while in combat, allowing Drazhar and his crew to run down their prey and avoid taking damage when their prey stands its ground and fights.
WEAKNESSES
  • Little Armour For A Big Ship - Against other capital ships of a similar, or larger, size, the Stricken's mediocre armour and defences dictate hit-and-run tactics as necessary as they cannot stand and trade fire.
  • Volatile Reactor - Should the casing or field emitter on this powerful reactor be damaged, the results could be catastrophic for the Stricken and subsequently it's crew. Similarly, the reactor could be pushed to its limits were the vessel to simultaneously employ its full weapon capabilities against a foe, meaning power management is very important.
DESCRIPTION
Drazhar first laid eyes upon the Grief Stricken in some villainous shadowport several years after he led an uprising to break out of the prison ship he was locked away in. "In the market" for a new ship, Drazhar immediately saw the potential of what could be with the Stricken, rather than what already was. He requisitioned the vessel from its previous owner, and began repairs, refits and upgrades straight away. Upgrading the relatively average systems and weaponry of the Stricken was step one, then came the hard part. Forging its, and by extension his own, already budding legend.

The Stricken, fully upgraded as much as Drazhar could without the resources of a major faction, is a fast, nimble vessel that can outrun, outgun and - in Drazhar's capable hands - outhink its prey. The awesome, varied arsenal of weapons make it a fearsome foe capable of crippling enemy ships outright, or leaving them intact enough for Drazhar and his pirates to launch boarding actions. For exceptionally dangerous marks, the Stricken employs a mixture of its advanced systems: the Signal Scrambler to stop any SOS messages being traced back to the quarry, the Silencer Comm Jammer to deafen and prevent the crew of the ship taking immediate action as the Stricken rockets forward, and finally the Shield-disrupting Projector to bring down the target's shields right when they need them the most.

The necessity of a powerful enough reactor capable of handling the ship's extensive armaments drew Drazhar back once again to Guardian Defense Industries. The solution was presented to the Captain in the form of the GDE-01 Antimatter Reactor, which was installed by a capable team of GDE engineers and technicians to ensure the Stricken is able to maximise its firing potential in the heat of combat safely, though of course it still could not fire everything at once.

Thank you! The intention was never to use it in that way against PCs, only the in-combat benefits, pulling a ship from hyperspace was more for potential narratives within a thread but I understand the concern. I added in the caveat that ships with advanced systems would be able to avoid being pulled out of hyperspace, I hope that works, happy to change it if not of course.
