War tears across the galaxy like the ragged edge of a blood-stained sword. No person is ignorant of it, or those passions born of it. The fear, the violence, the pain, the need for vengeance, the jealousy that shatters unity, the hopelessness of inconceivable loss... Invoked in the hearts of trillions.
The Force listens, and the Dark Side answers. As a new flock of force-sensitives awakens in the fires of galactic conflict, an Academy opens to accept them.
On Desevro, you will arrive, not to a school with open doors, but a tainted temple that needs to be claimed. Make no mistake, acolyte - you are fodder to clear the halls and find the source of the darkness that has unleashed insanity upon the grounds. A dark artifact of untold potential. Such a thing is dangerous, yes, but it may also be a boon to those who can unlock its secrets.
Your task is simple... Enter the academy, find the artifact, and retrieve it. Those who survive the exercise will be admitted into the academy. However, the one who returns with the artifact in hand will be allowed to keep it.

This is the opening PVE thread for the Sith Academy on Desevro, part of the Sith Covenant and Great Hunt storyline.
Specifically, acolytes must enter the Sith Temple and retrieve a dark artifact that taints the ruin with an aura of madness. Although the artifact is powerful and worth investigation, it must be removed if the Temple is to be repurposed into a new academy.
Who is it for?
Any acolyte or equivalent characters. Sith, Dark Jedi, and fallen padawans are the preferred origins, but not a requirement, so long as your character is of relative inexperience in the Force and its study.
