Gray Jedi Praxeum of Jedha [Interest Check]

Hidden away in the borders of Mid Rim and Unknown Regions is the ancient force heritage rich desert moon of NaJedha, Jedha. Beneath an ancient ruin of a lost elder sect of Jedi dug kilometers deep beneath the surface of a winding and labyrinth gorge is the hidden subterranean Gray Jedi Praxeum of Jedha.

In truth the first level has intentionally been kept a ruin, untouched when it was discovered by the Order of Gray Jedi of Jedha. It is an ancient light side temple that once was created by a sect of wayward Jedi unaffiliated with the Jedi Order of the Old Republic. Its large chambers house destroyed domes, statues, columns, grand subterranean vistas, and bones. If one finds one of the many hidden repulsorlift doors, they can then travel down into the true Praxeum itself.

What awaits you there is the large Gate of the Twin Wardens [pictured above]. This is the main gate into the main network of chambers of the Praxeum, it is guarded by two large monolithic statues of two Gray Jedi as well as a cohort of Gray Jedi and Praxeum Militia.

Behind the gate, one will come across the vast network of chambers, antechambers, quarters, and great domed spaces of the Jedha Praxeum. Within it, there is an subterranean city lit by artificial lighting and consisting of pre-fabricated housing apartments, a Gray Jedi Sanctum [pictured below], barracks, goods depots, jedi crystal mining facility, and artificial heating food incubation chambers. All of which was gradually accumulated by bargaining, jerry-rigging, ad hoc construction, and contribution by its residents.

From this central network, there are several access tunnels which travel kilometers away and then lead back to the surface as last resort escape routes. Some of these escape routes even lead to subterranean starship holds that use natural cave gaps as launch holes. These starship holds however, cannot hold anything bigger than a personal starfighter or a smuggler vessel (like a YT-1300f light freighter). Beyond this, there are several other networks of tunnels that lead to other areas of the southern hemisphere canyon gorge that cracks across Jedha's southern surface like a large scar. These tunnels are used for defences of the Praxeum allowing the defenders to assault the attackers before they reach the Praxeum proper (if the attackers manage to locate its true location).

The Praxeum also houses an internal comms system, loud speaker system, and its own holonet (thanks to the dealings with select and privileged vagrants/scoundrels). In addition, the Praxeum has its own encrypted code comm system that it uses to communicate to the Gray Jedi that are sent on peace keeping missions or covert missions across the galaxy.

The Order of Gray Jedi of Jedha is a collective of classical Gray Jedi that over time, due to staying on Jedha, have fused with local Force Cults merging into the Order of Jedha. The gray jedi within the order live monastic lives. They study, teach, heal, protect, and fight for their creed. The central tenant by which all gray jedi within the Jedha Praxeum follow is a merger between the Classical Gray Code and the virtues of force cults like the Church of the Force.

Creed of the Jedha Gray Jedi
--------------------------------------------------------------------
We are wardens of peace
Wardens need no titles, need no lands
We are one with the Force and it with us

We fight for peace through our passion to protect
We grow our passion through peace to guide

There is freedom in life
There is purpose in death
The Force is all things and We are the Force

The Order of Gray Jedi of Jedha see themselves as hermit wardens who from time to time march out of their hidden praxeum to defend the innocent, protect the weak, defend against darkness, and use the Force through their own creed to better those they can reach. They are not hostile to other Jedi Orders, nor temperamental enough to demand lands, dominion, or loyalty of allegiance. They live to serve the force, and each other. Even once lost brothers and sisters, are deemed as worthy of redemption - however, the Order will defend itself and battle to death if necessary with foes who are relentless or forgone. It is a duality of passion and peace, bravery and brutality. The way of the solitary warden.

The Order is broken up into various Gray Chapters who fullfill various rolls. [Note: You are free to form and manage your own Chapter within in the Order, the idea is to have an OPEN DOOR, OPEN to IDEAS POLICY]. These chapters consist of warriors, scholars, healers, archivists, archaeologists, diplomats, and engineers. They tend to many tasks; upkeep of the praxeum, its defense, off-world missions, developing medicines and Force powered cures, conducting business with locals and other worlds, and communicating with other Jedi Orders. Indeed, the Order is open to anyone who wants to, in a wholesome way, make a difference whether through humanitarian missions, slave emancipation offensives, darkside/imperial resistance, aid to fellow Jedi brothers and sisters.

SISTERS OF THE MARTYRED LIGHT

Led by Gray Jedi Knight Veera Lux, the Sisters (as they are known) are one of the Jedi Militant Chapters tasked with defending the Praxeum and venturing out in ranger missions to combat the darkside, and other malevolent forces. Unlike the other Chapters, this is a Jedi Militant that is completely made of female gray jedi knights and padawans. It is named after the female Jedi Master who died during the One Sith Jedi Purges of the Core; who fought to extract as many Jedi from the ravaged core as possible. Veera Lux is the last Padawan of the martyred master.

OOC: On a final note, this is just an idea to have some fun that is devoid of the politic of the BIG Jedi Orders. The Gray Order of Jedha is as it sounds - a collective - its a place free for people to feel out their characters, do some good guy missions in that classic feel of the wandering Gray Warden that protects those who cannot and then vanishes. Its fun, I have no intentions of going major. Treat this as an attempt to do a sort of Lords of the Fringe or ORC of Gray Jedi. Fun, politics free, One With The Force goodness.

@Au'Rus Rhaeyns, I recommend reaching out to the Je'daii. They're pretty similar to what you're going for here. You guys could probably do really well if you pooled your resources.

Tagging [member="Asha Hex"] as she's one of they're main ladies.

While I appreciate the call out, the Je'daii are a wholly neutral Order, we don't classify ourselves as Grey Jedi :) I'd never turn away someone who wished to join, but I get that Hiss here is trying to do their thing!

Perhaps we can find an excuse for stories in the future :flower: (pretend it's an olive branch!)
