- When hooked to targetting system from something like, say, a helmet, the bolas will automatically home in on it though the targetting capacity is crude so a good aim is still valued. Due to this, there is a somewhat longer range in comparison to other normal bolas. Their speed during this is about subsonic, travelling at 321 Meters Per Second.
- When entangling, the bolas will magnetize together tightly, making it extremely hard to break free.
- Through an interlink, or set automatically, the gravity actuators can be activated, making the bolas seem incredulously heavy, making even some of the strongest of Wookie's unable to break free.
- It can easily disable an enemy without doing permanent harm. Unlike Implosion Grenades, this is far more controlled and doesn't run the risk of causing any lethal damage.
- Ion weapons could disable the gravity actuators.
This self-propelled detainment weapon was developed as Deryn's first few steps in the world of weapons trade - as the merchant, I mean. While taking some finesse to make, they are rather cheap to create and would easily be Mass-Produced. Sadly, Deryn is just one man.
