The Gravitic Harmonic Destabilizer Naval Model 1 (GHD-N1) is the Imperial Confederation’s advancement of the Galactic Empire’s gravity well projector research. Its conceptual ancestor is the Gravitic Amplitude Modulator, a device that was used to disrupt the gravitic-based telepathic signals of the Yuuzhan Vong’s coordination nodes, the yammosks. When Karl Von Strauss used this technology in the creation of the Khonshu pathway network, there was a group of Imperial engineers who collaborated on that project, who thought of possible military applications of this technology, and more specifically, its uses in anti-Force technology. They theorized that if gravitic pulses could disrupt a biotechnological psychic network, the same principles might be applicable to the harmonic web of the Force itself, or more specifically, to powers reliant on collective consciousness like Force-Meld, Battle Meditation, and certain precognitive battle networks. This is where Imperial Governor Vanessa Vantai (the avatar and alias of the abominable Anti-Force entity known as Onrai) took an interest in the project and began helping with its development. In particular, the addition of a piece of the crystallized white dwarf star of the Crseih system, imbued with the power of the Force’s antithesis, the Anti-Force.
At its core, the GHD-N1 operates by generating tightly tuned gravitic harmonic pulses; these structured waveforms are designed to cause resonance disruption in mass-scale psionic and Force-based phenomena. The gravitic lensing provided by the neutronium core doesn't just project raw gravitational wells; it instead modulates them into fluctuation harmonics that interfere with the subtle field alignments that enable force users to maintain psychic links across large areas or through multiple individuals. While this effect does NOT sever an individual’s connection to the force, it fractures the synchrony between multiple users, rendering group-based tactics into disjointed, chaotic fragments. The (what the engineers have unofficially dubbed) ‘Crseih Crystal’ which has been imbued with the Anti-Force - the energy field of the twisted and abominable dimension known as Otherspace - latches onto the passive application of Force energy and within the area of effect siphons the Force, feeding it back into the crystal and generating a near-limitless amount of Anti-Force energy both stored within the crystal and used to keep the GHD-N1 operational.
In terms of performance, the GHD-N1 excels against highly coordinated Force-led fleets, using Force-Meld or Battle Meditation. It also retains its original effectiveness against exotic psychic networks like the Yuuzhan Vong or other non-Force hivemind species. Its presence on the battlefield shatters attempts by Force-wielding commanders to rely on their conventional techniques for aiding their forces, which can also be seen as a devastating psychological blow to both them and their men.
However, the GHD-N1 is far from a perfect weapon. Designed to suppress wide-scale use of a Force power across a broad area, it is mostly ineffective at suppressing direct Force applications. This may, potentially, give Force users alternative courses of engagement that are still viable against their enemies. Concentrated efforts by powerful Force wielders are still dampened, but harmonization of their power can potentially overload and crack or destroy the Crseih Crystal should the resulting stored Anti-Force energy not be drawn off. Additionally, the GHD-N1 has a finite operational envelope; it cannot affect targets deep underground, inside dense planetary crusts, or operating from within hyperspace. The weapon’s reliance on volatile systems introduces significant risk, with a critical failure resulting in anything from a reactor meltdown to a localized gravitic implosion. The device’s gravitational emissions are also detectable, making stealth impossible when the device is active.

- Anti-Force Gravitic Pulse: With the introduction of the anti-force imbued ‘Crseih Crystal’ to the secondary neutronium ‘lens’, the GHD is able to use these foci to enable it to disrupt group-based force synchronizations. [See paragraph 2 of the description]
- Stygium Crystals: While originally employed as power sources for stealth/cloaking devices, the ones used in the GHD are for field control. In order to stabilize gravitic field emissions, preventing harmonic bleed.
- Quantum Ansible Processing Core: The processing core, in real-time, manages gravitic field calculations, enabling the GHD to adjust pulse patterns near-instantly in response to shifting Force-based harmonics or countermeasures.
- Disrupts Force-based Battlefield Coordination - It can severely degrade or outright collapse Battle Meditation, Force-Meld, and similar group-affecting force powers.
- Useable Against non-Force Biological Hiveminds - Just like its predecessor, the GHD-N1 can disrupt entities like the Yuuzhan Vong.
- Area of Effect - The GHD-N1 has the ability to vary its AOE from 1km in diameter to 50km in diameter.
- Ally or Foe, I don’t know - The device is unable to distinguish between the ambient Force energy of an ally or a foe. Regardless, the Anti-Force functionality of the device will siphon it.
- Too Much of a Good Thing - With the device directly converting the ambient Force energy consumed by it into Anti-Force energy, absorbing too much Force power from too many or too strong a group of Force Users acting in sync risks cracking or outright shattering the crystal, limiting the range of or outright disabling the device unless the Anti-Force energy is drained.
- Localized Interference - The device can cause minor disruptions of long-range communications and certain long-range scanners, courtesy of its gravitic distortions.
- Failure Risk - If the device were to be critically damaged, it can lead to a localized gravitic implosion - essentially collapsing the device, the ship the device is a part of, and anything within its operating radius into a tremendously dense piece of mutilated matter.
