Memories are the Key
“You need not worry about me, Iris. I’m not so far along that merely being on my feet exhausts me.” She said, taking a seat. “Atleast, not yet anyway.” Kara chuckled as she got comfortable.
The Padawan sighed, she had forgotten that Iris wasn’t one to express things verbally. It was the art, the frequent painting that was what allowed her to express herself. Unfortunately Kara didn’t have an easel on hand.
“I’ll give an example then, not necessarily current, but something I’ve come to learn about myself since becoming a Jedi.”
Kara leaned back into her chair, hands clasped together as she thought. It didn’t take long before her mind settled on the training with
Valery Noble

“I was a smuggler, before all this.” She said, waving a hand to their surroundings. “Part of a group even, I was a pilot, gunslinger, slicer, whatever was needed. Suffice to say, I was quite gung-ho in jumping into action.” There was a small smile on Kara’s face, the memories were fond, but there was a degree of sadness underneath the surface. “I struggled at first, at being a Jedi. It wasn’t until I was under Valery’s mentorship for a time, that I discovered what I wanted to be.”
The blonde Padawan looked straight at Iris.
“I want to be a protector, a Guardian. Someone who only raises their lightsaber in the defence of others. For those that I love and care for, and those that cannot defend themselves.”
