Rationale: Grandcorp is a combination of 3 companies acquired through hostile means over the course of tens of years. The first company acquired was Latham transport, a minor shipping company that owned a small fleet of ageing transports. The family trust that owned Latham went missing, with no heirs to their stake to the company so it went to the only remaining partner Wendell Wraith who received full control. The second company to be merged was Kennison food packing based on Biitu. The Kennison family believed it was a partnership with Wendell was one they couldn't refuse as Latham Transport was their primary shipping company. Wendell gain control of this company by marrying the companies owners daughter, then gaining full control when Mr Kennison and his family disappeared while going to the cinema. The final company acquired with Daulton Securities, this was an agreed upon merger as both companies benefited from the arrangement, Elias Daulton still holds a major role in the new company Grand corp.

Description: Grandcorp is a human run company that benefits from exploration the local populate of the planet is it headquartered on. Teams of "security officers" travel to the many tribes of Biitu and collect taxes owed them for the protection they offer. When necessary they will enforce additional penalties on the tribes in the form of indentured labors (slaves) when they fail to meet their tax quote or any number of minor offences they chose to site. Raw food stuffs are then processed at their plants in Tagata’Osofa and shipped off world by their ageing fleet of light transports. While indentured servants are sold off to the highest bidders as monthly auctions held in the green district of Tagata'Osofa.
Current adjenda: Better enforce control over the major tribes of Biitu, continue research into modification of Biituian people into better labors, begin production of purple lotus spice by demanding tribes grow it instead of food crops.
