STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES (Required: 2 Weaknesses Minimum) :
Warrior Monk - The Rydian religion preaches that the priests and almoners of the religion must be capible of defending their people. They are therefor skilled melee and martial combatants that specialize in hand-to-hand and ampistaff combat.
Charismatic - For Vong in the least, Grag is the leader of a new but rather feverant Vong reform. This has its perks, Grag is a skilled politician, talker, and preacher capible of stirring the masses of his order and rallying them under one one banner.
Vong Tech Expert - Self Explanatory.
Technology Shunning - Grag's religion still follows some of the core Vong tenants one of which being the rejection of modern technologies for that of Vong Technology. While he is tolerant of users of said technology as are his followers using it is a great dishonor that can result in anything up to Excommunication.
Shunned by the Galaxy - His kind may no longer be their pillaging ancestors, but are still shunned on many worlds.
Force-Dead - While yes, this initially seems like a strength it has many disadvantages... He is unable to use Force-Powers or be healed by them.
APPEARANCE:
Grag looks like many Vong. A space orc, despite his new religion the scars of his races horrid mutations and the like have remained. Grag is a massive, normally armored warrior monk who stands tall. His skin is a dark, nearly moldy grey with multiple tears, tattoos, and piercings. Most prominently, the skin around his lips is removed entirely, a punishment from the 'old ways'. This gives him a nearly ghastly look of the undead.
BIOGRAPHY:
Grag was born on the world of Rodia in the local Vong Colony into the Priest Caste. His early life was one of mutilation and hardship as of most of his kin. His training took years and he was formally adopted into the Yuuzan religion at the age of seventeen. He worked his way through caste life, and the horrid ritual's that priesthood required. Over time, unlike most of his kind, his fear of pain and enslavement was not replaced with a masochistic glee in everything they did.
On a faithful night, he believed he was given a vision from a Creator... A Vision for Reform. He created a new Pantheon, involving the Creator but with multiple new Gods: Rydia the Protector, Kirhel the Fire-God, Jilska the Goddess of Death, Sheltorn the Prophet and Truth-Seer, and Giltorian the Life-Breather. These new Gods did not mandate a practice of pain, suffering, and violence but rather asked for the 'People', the Vong to be protected and free and be granted a new life in the Galaxy of War. Each God governed a various aspect and had their own codes, Rydia was of the Warriors, Kirhel of the Shapers, Jilska of all those consumed by the 'Old Ways', Sheltorn for Judges, Magistrates, Law makers, and Giltorian was the 'reincarnation of the creator' responsible for all Vong life and their new ways.
These 'New Ways' were not looked kindly upon by the 'Old Ones' and soon a Religious War broke out in the confines of the Vong Colony. After ten years of battles, right before the arrival of the Confederacy the Rydian Vong claimed victory and rebuilt the Priesthood. Tolerance of other cultures was also preached and the Caste system became less rigid though still plays an important aspect of the culture.
In all Religious Strife, Grag's position elevated to High Priest of the Rydian Vong and he treated with the CIS forming a mutual agreement which helped his religion spread to many of the 'People' scattered across the stars. Now Grag is ready to further his 'People' on the Galactic Stage.
