Lord Commander and Supreme Judge of the Eternal Remnant, the planet of Iokath and First of the Knights, Regent of the Eternal Throne
The High Justice is the highest position available in the Eternal Remnant and the heritage of the original Eternal Empire as supreme commander of the military forces and head of the Knights. Additionally to the military duties, the High Justice also holds a titular claim to the Eternal Throne and is the emergency ruler of the entire realm. The position is given to one of the Praetors in times of crisis and war for a year, approved by the Exarchs. Per tradition the position has the sigil of Izax, the dragon.
P R A E T O R
Commanders in Chief and High Judges of the Eternal Remnant, Shields of Iokath and Exalted of the Houses
The two Praetors are the de jure head of the government of the Eternal Remnant and preside the Council of Exarchs, ruling over the Knights Houses and people of Iokath. They are elected for terms of five years from among the heads of the Knight Houses, the Exarchs. They are not necessarily Exarchs themselves and can even be non-Force users. They are the commanders in chief and obliged to answer for their decisions in front of the Council and Administration but also with a veto right to deny their requests and proposals.
E X A R C H
Supreme Enforcers, Lord Paramounts of the Provinces and Heads of their respective Knight Houses
The Exarchs are both chosen warriors and enforcers of the Eternal Remnant, spiritual and military leaders with unquestioned skill and capability. They are the heads of the Knight Houses which compose the true heart of the modern incarnation of the Eternal Empire of Zakuul, feudal lords which reign over territories and are responsible for their population and to support the regime they are part of. An Exarch is chosen after thorough testing and trialing by near impossible and often lethal challenges to undergo a cybernetical enhancement process which is as painful as it is empowering.

Overseeing, administrating, organizing various aspects of government

The Eternal Remnant, represented by the Knight Houses of Zakuul is also governed by them. A very feudal system which incorporates the standing and power of a house into their direct influence on the governing bodies. While the positions of Praetor hold authority, they are chosen by the Exarchs, the heads of the houses and therefore are directly responsible and influencing the decision making and ruling of the realm.
In their respective provinces, the House have near full autonomy as long as they adhere to the traditions and doctrines of Zakuul of old. It is the exception that a House does not has its home on Iokath itself and while their leaders are de facto immortal, the growth and expansion of houses is strictly monitored by the Honor Guard to prevent infighting or worse.
