Private Good Business

Being on Coruscant wasn't exactly the most relaxing experience. But, with enough make up and hair dye she at least didn't look like the walking corpse she usually did. No, instead she was the healthy tanned, blonde girl she'd always been before her change to a Sangnir. And thankfully, able to blend in with the normal populace of the planet. And of course, work under Aurora and her Master. Alina let out a sigh as she overlooked the terrace her office was on. There were benefits to working with her Master. Like this view. Just, there was a careful line between what flew and what didn't.

A double life to maintain.

The woman lifted a drink, idly sipping the smoothie within. Tasted good, as usual. In part because of the blood used to sustain her. Her blue contacted eyes just.. Watched. Waited. She had business to attend to, sure enough.

The mercenary she hired had good news. Another of her artifacts, this one stashed away within a case, successfully retrieved. If all things went well, the merc shouldn't even know what they had. If all things went well. That was part of the reason she had them come in person. Appearances to maintain.

Time would tell if that was easy or not.

It would be a complete, perhaps obvious lie, to say things went smoothly.

The objective at hand didn’t have a large margin of error. In fact the issue wasn't in retrieving the package at all, but simply being in its radius after the fact. As unassuming as the durasteel casing looked, even with her limited scope of the force she wasn’t blind to its underlying power.

Loose tendrils of the force, webbed across the encased novelty, bit into the back of her mind with iron-hot accuracy. As relatively disconnected and faint as her force-sensitivity had proven to be, something about the item in her possession agitated it to a degree that left her openly skeptical.

So the closer she grew to the drop-off site, the more she felt submerged in the unfolding mystery.

The merc didn’t stray into the sun of the upper levels all that often, but exceptions had to be made. Case in hand, she fought down any interference, slipping into the building her contact had named while sending confirmation to said contact from her datapad. Pinging her location.

It wasn't a long wait, or perhaps it was? Hard to tell. Either way, the dolled up woman would arrive to the meeting location, a soft smile on her face. Quiet as a shade she stepped into the room, hands clasped behind her back. Her gaze drifted first to the case before glancing over the merc she'd hired in idle curiosity. The case did little to keep the dark artifact sealed, it seemed.

How much could the merc herself feel?

"Good to finally meet you in person. Did you have any trouble?"
